We do have specific threads for trades and free agency discussions.

Yay another bottom feeder scrub to eat up another roster spot.

I really do believe we're going for these guys because we aren't in the mix to sign major or second tier guys.

Disappointing if true, but it matches with what we're seeing.

I won't give this any credence until something actually happens. I'm assuming this spot would be between Roberts and Siva. Personally, I believe Siva has shown enough to warrant bringing back. His shooting isn't as good as Roberts', but he is a solid point guard off the bench. Especially if he's the third PG in the rotation.

I'd rather keep Siva.
If Bynum is being moved then get this guy.

I expect us to unload both Bynum and Siva, its clear that SVG wants his perimeter players to be able to hit the 3, which neither Bynum nor Siva can do.

He's better than a 15th man, but with Jennings/Bynum/Siva already here and the apparent interest in Thomas it doesn't make much sense, unless one or two are gone.

Sure, why not?

Let's add more fuel to this disheartening offseason.

Jennings / Bynum / Roberts / Siva / Dinwiddie
KCP / Meeks / Martin
Singler / Martin
Monroe / Smith / Jerebko / Mitchell / Datome
Drummond / Gray / Harrellson

Datome is a SF man.

Datome = SF offensively.

But he can't guard literally any SFs in the NBA.

He played all of last season (when he actually did get into games) as a stretch-4

Disheartening? I don't know how you can label our off-season that considering:

Joe finally got fired
Loyer isn't head coach anymore
We dumped CV & Stuckey
We signed Meeks

The likes of Gray, Martin and Roberts get signed because they're not a real threat to your top 9-10 players....but they'll challenge them on the floor and cheer them on from the pine.

You can't have 15 alpha males on the roster. It's a balancing act and I believe SVG knows more about what qualities Gray, Martin & Roberts would bring to the table.

Sure they could bring back Chauncey, because all SVG has done until now is signing players from this agency

So the Brian Roberts rumor is no surprise. I still hope SVG actual target is Thomas.

Our best signing was an overpaid SG who will have to split minutes with last season's lottery pick.

Meanwhile, Singler is still slotted to be a starter.
