Looks like Markel Brown And Corey Jefferson had pretty good games in the loss.

Looks like Karasev might play Friday. Would be nice to see his game.

I like Corey Jefferson, I hope he gets some time in preseason so we can see him in more of a NBA setting.

Re: Nets Summer League Thread (Next Game: 7/11 4:00 PM)
With Pierce gone, I'm now thinking that Jefferson gets a real chance at a roster spot, much more so than Thames
PG - Jack, Teague
SG - Deron, Brown, Karasev
SF - JJ, Bogdanovic, AK
PF - Plumlee, Mirza, Jefferson
C - Lopez, KG
I'm going with this line-up based on what we heard from Lionel Hollins and Plumlee recently. Hollins, when talking about players playing multiple positions said Deron is a "two, one", and that Joe is a "three, two". Plumlee then talks about working on jumpers "if he's going to be on the same court as Brook".
Now, if the unexpected happens (yet again) and KG decides to retire?
PG - Jack, Teague
SG - Deron, Brown, Karasev
SF - JJ, Bojan,
PF - Mirza, AK, Jefferson

I don't like moving Deron to the two... It might just be semantics but the guy is a point guard through and through.
I'm also not sure why the Nets continue to play in the Orlando rather than the Vegas summer league. Orlando is significantly watered down and less organized than Vegas...

Re: Nets Summer League Thread (Next Game: 7/11 4:00 PM)
Cory Jefferson is underrated, sure, he's strictly a PF due to his thin frame, but he's exactly what you want at that position. He's got length, long arms, high motor, a decent jumpshot, rebounding ability and athleticism that enables him to finish with authority and he's got the touch to become a 70-75% FT shooter. His defense isn't great (though a good shot blocker), but much improved.
Adding strength is the main thing with him as he'll probably never will develop a post game, but the modern era PF isn't required to have that.

Forgot about AA
Deron/ Jack
AA/ Brown/ Karasev
JJ/ Bogdonavic/ AK
Pumlee/ MT3
Lopez/ Garnett
Could be a very good team, if the big men play well in their roles and they are played in the right roles.

This team will be pretty good if their health holds out.

I'd still really prefer lopez come off the bench, especially if he is going to play next to plumlee. I just dont see us being sucessful/getting off to a good start if we are a bad defensive team
Dwill
AA
JJ
Mirza
KG
Jack
Bogs|Brown
Kirilenko|bogs
Plumlee
Lopez
Also, i dont want johnson and lopez on the floor together. they are both better when it runs through them
