Sounds like Lind's heading to the DL now too...

We actually score what should be enough, but the pitching stinks up the joint :-?

Then again, there were enough stupid plays in the game that had they executed well at the plate, on the base paths or in the field, they would have won anyway.

or maybe not since you could say the same thing about the angels, who played dumber and sloppier than we did today

Bautista outplays his contract by more than $70 million over the next four seasons (2013-2016).

Lind to the DL with a fractured toe as the All-Star break collapse continues.

With as bad as both teams played, today's outcome pretty much came down to luck. The Jays haven't had too much of it lately.

Terrible news. It is like the Baseball Gods can never give this team and fanbase a break. Lind is out 6-8 weeks. EE and Lawrie are probably out for 4 more weeks, even though EE said he will come back early. Sucks that this franchise can never catch a F'N Break (SMH).

Why did Gibbons leave Loup in to pitch to one of the greatest hitters of all time in Pujols??

He says stupid play on Cabrera in the 1st inning, I say even more stupid on leaving in a lefty to pitch to a dangerous hitter late in the game up by one.

Idiot!

Pujols is hitting better against righties this season, and has a very minimal platoon split over the course of his long career. And Loup had not given up a home run in his past 55 innings of work stretching back to last year.

Pujols (even though a small sample size) is 0 for 3 against Dustin McGowan.

I would have taken my chances with Dustin in this situation.

Well, yes, after he hit the first homerun off Loup in a long assed time, I think we all would have preferred to see what McGowan could have done.
9. Similarly, IF THOU HAST SPENT the entire offseason predicting that thy team will stink, thou shalt not gloat, nor even be happy, shouldst thou turn out to be correct. Realistic analysis is fine, but be a fan first, a smug smarty-pants second.
