The Blackhawks have reached eight-year deals with star forwards Jonathan Toews and Patrick Kane, the team announced Wednesday.

Each contract is worth a total of $84M, sources said.

Both deals are front-loaded and each includes $44M in signing bonuses, a source told ESPN.com's Pierre LeBrun.

that's alot of money tied up to 2 players ($10.5M each).
