Bledsoe or trade for Kendall Marshal.

If Houston does go through with the Bosh deal and keeps Parsons, they're going to have to clear more room. I'd like to see if we could absorb Terrence Jones for a couple future 2nds and then try to deal Henson for a guard like CJ McCollum.

I want to dump those 3 contracts. Ideally, I'd like to do it in a world where Lin would be coming back to the Bucks in return. But that world does not exist since Houston doesn't want to add salary. So maybe the Bucks can find a third team who would be interested in Ilaysova, Mayo and/or Delfino so they can dump one or more of those guys onto the third team while bringing back Lin/1st for themselves.

That scenario would please me greatly. But just trading for Lin/1st isn't all that appealing to me. Like I said, I wouldn't hate it but you're still left with the problem of those bad contracts you need to get rid of.

what would be the 3rd teams incentive for our bad contracts if were keeping the pick/lin? what do they get out of it? what would Houstons part be?

I want to dump those 3 as well but we can do that whether we do the Houston deal or not. maybe im still not following what your saying...... can you give me an example? there has to be one floating in your head for where youre going with this?

Nothing that I can see. I wouldn't want any of those guys. That's kinda the sticking point here. :)

Not a big fan if all we are getting is a ~#28 pick for taking it on. If they dump Lin it means they will have Bosh. Which means they will have one helluva team. And that #1 isn't probably even any more valuable as the #31 we had this year. If Lin is a 5MM player thats a big price for the late late pick. Its not my money but I'm surprised the price isn't higher for allowing them to sign Bosh/Parsons.

I'd be more bummed about Lin if Hammond knew how to negotiate. There should be a direct line to Morey and Bone should be putting the pressure on for that NO pick. I'd be pretty shocked if it wasn't in the lotto. Now maybe I'm naive to how much HOU values that pick but with the free agency period approaching desperation, we should be the aggressive party in this situation.

I think the McCollum for Henson idea is pretty good. I actually thought about that exact same deal a couple days ago.

I like CJ, but no way do I give up Henson's production for him. Henson is a talented young big. You keep him. Patience is the order of the day. The Bucks will be in position to draft a guard as good or better than McCollum next year or the year after.

If you can get a future starter for Henson I say do it and don't think twice. I don't see Henson as a long-term starter on this team. He isn't starting ahead of Parker at PF and I don't think he can hold up physically at C unless he gets a lot stronger. He has the look of a backup big which can hold some value but I wouldn't obsess over it and pass up the opportunity to turn him into an actual starter if that opportunity presented itself.

One of the biggest mistakes I see teams do in the NBA is overvalue young bigs, holding onto them for too long until they're devoid of value completely. The Bucks just did that with Udoh, for example. If you don't believe Henson is a long-term starter on this team I think now is the time to move him while there remains the perception of value.

I laid how exactly how you use current cap space to acquire picks and the turn around and shed bad contracts later right here...

If we're getting the Pelicans pick AND Capela along with Lin, I can be convinced to give up one of Middleton or Henson in that deal.

Is there protection on that pick? Because I don't see it being any higher than #14 next year. The West is tough and I still don't think the Pelicans are a playoff squad even with an all-star Anthony Davis.

Capela is a perfect draft and stash guy with enormous potential. I think he would have been a late lottery pick in most other drafts.

I would jump all over that Henson for McCollum deal.

I have the hardest time with Henson. Into last season I had really high hopes, but on the eye ball test I wasn't that impressed with his last season. But then you look at this #s and they aren't terrible. He seems like a good teammate but then you hear things about the guy being a stoner (alledgedly), doesn't take game serious, bad diet, etc. I don't see him being a starter with Parker/Sanders in the fold, but Henson does have a unique physical skillset - yet his FT shooting and shooting outside the paint is a huge gap in his game.

So basically you have a guy that probably has value as a young big, lottery pick, and has shown flashes of potential. Do you peddle him while he has that value? Or do you keep and hope he takes a leap in year 3 & 4. I was ready to get rid of Sanders, then he blew up. But then you have a guy like Jennings where it never really clicked as far as going to another level. Its a tough call.

I'd trade Henson in the right deal but I wouldn't move him for someone that doesn't project to be a starter like McCollum. I'm thinking more like McLemore.

I'd like to stick with Henson until we know for sure what he is, unless we get a package that's too good to turn down. People are down on Henson right now, but I think the guy will be good for a double-double every night as soon as next season. Hope we experiment with him at center and Jabari at PF a lot

I have no problem with him being a stoner, just get somebody to keep your diet in check. Chipotle doesn't seem that bad to me, but that much McDonalds is not good for you....Unless you're really, really high.

Unless we get a great deal for Henson it's best to hold on to him. I'd much rather use him as a piece to get another draft pick or move up next year than than get some garbage bench player.

I'd love to bring in McLemore some how. It would be a shrewd buy-low move, imo.

Move him if there's a great opportunity, otherwise hold onto him and hope he gets his act together. I would have traded him in a heartbeat as part of a package to get back into the lottery, but there's no reason to move him just for the sake of moving him
