I would've loved an upgrade in Lowry but I'm happy with Chalmers and if he's at the min then do it. At least he dares to stand up to Lebron's false **** sometimes.

It's not like he's turned into Mike Bibby.

The same Mike Bibby Spo started in the Finals for five games?

And how deep is your hatred for Lebron that you are using Chalmers "standing up" to his "false ****" as some kind of positive? Your schtick is so over the top I don't even really know what you are talking about there.

The market for players like him is saturated, that plays a role and we probably don't have much of a need for him either, but the guy is a worthy NBA player and thus can be moved for something more useful to us.

It wasn't just the finals, Chalmers sucked the entire regular season and playoffs

Chalmers was just about as good this regular season as he has been in the past. It seems as DWade has said that a bad finals can influence a view.

Chalmers has been fairly consistent for the last 3 years in the regular season. There is no argument that last season was some huge negative outlier from the previous two seasons.

Chalmers is a consistently inconsistent player

He can be replaced easily

It's the same as it is with LeBron's 2011 playoff run. Up until to the Finals, it was one of his best runs ever if you take the level of competition into account. I still stand by the fact that the 2011 Bulls and the 2011 Celtics were the toughest teams we've faced in the east over the course of the Big Three era so far, but that's another discussion.

Well remember its not an apples to apples comparison. You can pay Chalmers more than the other guys because we have his Bird rights. Do I think its possible to get a minimum guy who is better than Chalmers? Possibly. But would you bet on being able to get a minimum guy who is better? Again possible but I wouldn't say its likely.

Definitely the toughest in the East. That's why I was saying in that thread about how easy the East has been that we had that one tough year but after that the East has been easy, especially these last two years.

And yeah he was awesome and "clutch" in both those series but the bad finals "ruined" it for a lot of people.

you talk (write) so much and say so little.

You're another whiner who doesn't know how good we have it.

Get off lebron's dick and support the Heat or FO.

You write so little and say so much, except its all stupid.

You've just been bashing Lebron non-stop this offseason and you are saying I'm whining? You're the one being negative. You're going to look like a moron (as usual) when he resigns and all your hate becomes moot.

Get off Spo's dick and actually support the players. I don't buy tickets to watch Spo, Arison or Riley stand around in suits. I support the team and the players on that team. I don't turn on a player at every little rumor like you do.

What free agents or players on the trading block are there for the Heat to pursue?

Chalmers - ??????
Wade - Wade
James - James
Lewis - McRoberts
Bosh - Bosh

Cole - Cole
Douglas - Napier
Allen - Allen
Battier - Granger
Jones - ??????
Beasley - ?????
Haslem - Haslem
Anderson - Anderson
Oden - Oden
Hamilton - Hamilton

A PG who plays D and can knock down a 3 seems needed. Jameer Nelson? A sign-n-trade for Isaiah Thomas? What moves are left if LeBron comes back?

This team is clearly the best team in the East, McRoberts is an upgrade at PF and Granger is an upgrade over Battier. We went to the Finals without these upgrades but a couple more moves (tweaks, not significant moves) could really makes this team dominant/deep.

PG - Jameer Nelson/Isaiah Thomas
SG/SF - Anthony Morrow/ Alan Anderson/Garrett Temple

it the lebron rumors are true, I would say locking up chalmers should be a priority. don't panic and overpay, don't see riley being the type anyways, but he should be retained.
