Dwyane Wade

Post#1 » by atlantabbq99 » Thu Jul 10, 2014 5:08 pm

Wade could be the last super star free agent left without a home. He is old and kind of banged up, but he can still give you 20ppg and is still clutch.

Hawks need a center but SG is a position that could still be upgraded. Wade could go back to the Heat or sign with the Bulls, but those situation are still shaky with Rose's health and Lebron and Bosh no longer around. Wade's name could be thrown into the mix for the Hawks, along with Monroe, and Deng.

Don't see how you could afford Wade, Deng, and Monore. I think Wade's contract will be based on what he has done, not what he will do moving forward. I would not care to overpay.

We're not really in a position to offer Wade what those other teams could offer Wade though - in terms of $$ or prestige. I really don't see Wade leaving MIA and if he does, then the only landing place I could see is CHI.

Not all three. Just one of the three.

Wade is no longer a superstar.
I believe no matter what happens, he decides to stay with Miami, not only because of the money, but for his legacy.

I wouldn't want Wade, too banged up and has bad knees. But purely as a basketball fan, I want him to stay in Miami, I love it when players stay loyal to the same team throughout their careers, it's what brought my respect of Chipper Jones (Braves) to a whole new level, and I really want us to keep Al throughout his career as well.

Wade won't have to take as much of a discount in salary if Bosh and James leave.
Even if just James leave.
Miami will be desperate to have him back on the team and be the face of the organization.

Return to Atlanta Hawks
