Stuff like this is exactly why I am saying this is getting stupid. He is not informing anyone and no one knows what is going on. He started free agency by being on vacation. Then he has his basketball camp. He is such an egomaniac and thinks everyone should dance to the beat of his drum. I understand he is the best player in the league, but c'mon, show some respect and stop messing around. Last time he was completely pubic about free agency and announced his decision on television. This time, he is completely silent and giving no hints as to what he is doing to the teams. It is one extreme or the other. He is holding the teams hostage. A few days is one thing, over ten days is another. No big free agents are willing to sign before Lebron says what he is doing. It is so ridiculous. This is all everyone is talking about and I guarantee you Lebron loves it.

respect for whom? respect for what?

it's been less than 24 hours since he has even been contractually permitted to make any decision at all. he's OK w me. i'm not saying he deserves the attention, but other than God himself maybe nobody deserves this much attention. it's not his problem tho.

Hahaha. I am not hating him at all. I am just saying this is getting out of control and I have never seen anyone do this. I am annoyed because I want it to be over with so everyone can move on. This has gone on way too long.

This is more about fans' and the media's lack of self-respect if you ask me. It's his life.

It's his life, but he's affecting the lives of all other free agents and front offices etc. He's holding the whole process up. He opted out and went on vacation instead of meeting with teams and discussing options. Shows a big lack of respect.

He knew this would happen. Knew CLE would get their hopes up again. Knew there would be speculation and heartbreak. If you are LBJ, the one thing you should have learned from 2010 is that you don't let the pressure build.

Respect for the league. It might be only the first day free agents can officially sign, but he opted out of his contract in June and has had over two weeks to figure out where he is going. I think he is toying with people and has known where he wanted to be for a long time now and will not say it for whatever reason.

If he is affecting other free agents and teams and front offices then shame on them for letting their world revolve around Lebron James he is certainly has not reached out and asked anyone do so on his behalf if they or the media are that pathetic thats on them.

Regarding LeBron and his lack of a decision, the hate from fans is their own fault, not LeBron's. Now I'm not saying he's not loving the attention, because I believe he does, but the hysteria is all on the fans and media. Look, there are several other free agents that haven't decided where they're playing next season and no one gives a damn about it. Luol Deng may not decide for another 2 weeks and no one will care. The same goes for Pau Gasol. And Isaiah Thomas. And on, and on, and on. Why? Because the fans don't care and they're free to take their time. LeBron, on the other, has the attention of the fans and he's unfairly being asked to make a snap decision just because everyone's just gotta know now. Again, I'm not advocating him taking so long since he's had since the end of the Finals to think about it, but in his defense, it's the media and fans that are making this into a circus. I don't think LeBron has even made any public comments since his free agency, so it's not like he's personally dropping hints and leading people on.

But I digress.......

Eh, what is he really doing though? All the speculation and concern over his free agency is coming from the media and 'sources'. I don't see anything official from James himself.

Of course, I lost respect for him long ago with "The Decision", plus all the flopping he does in the actual games.

Think it's interesting, the whole police to LeBron's Akron home. Would you need police to protect your house if it was good news?

FWIW the guy who told him also broke Beasley and Oden signings, as well as confirming Bosh/Wade opt outs before they were official.

Hmmm

If that happens Cleveland will never forgive him, he will never be welcomed home and will forever be the villian. I think its good for him and the NBA is he goes back to Cleveland it really is a great story line imo.

It's a terrible story. First he screws them over to go team up with buddy superstars to win another city 2 championships, owner writes a really ridiculous letter in comic sans, then the going gets tough, and the 3 superstar model stops working for him, so he toys with a bunch of teams, takes forever on a decision, and then goes back to a team that has 'lucked' out on getting THREE out of 4 number one picks? It would have been a better story if he just stayed with Cleveland for his entire career. If I was Cleveland, I'd tell him to **** off, and enjoy his life outside of Cleveland. Yeah, you don't get the same chance of being in the Finals, but you save some face. They've both been like passive aggressive teenage girls. Actually... now that I think of it, they deserve each other. **** them both.

Have you seen what people do to their own city after their team wins a college championship?

I'm sure glad no other league's free agency gets as stupid as the NBA's.

I love that movie but it's always better to watch the edited (dubbed) version on cable.
