Theory: Cleveland was never seriously in play. Lebron's camp has been using them as leverage to gain concessions from Riley & Arison and ensure a more powerful position in the franchise going forward. Most of the positive Cleveland press has been leaked by an over-excited Cavs FO. Also, they are planning on crushing Sheridan's career.

Theory: Lebron has been out the door since Sunday. All the clues point to it! All his boys seem to think so! He doesn't want to play with this aging roster and is unimpressed with the improvements. The Riley meeting was a good bye, at this point we're just letting the Heat org save face. Announcement coming soon.

Theory: This is all an elaborate ploy to force Bosh out without looking like you're forcing Bosh out. Once Bosh signs with Houston, Melo will come down here.

All either hinted at or outright confirmed by people with insider connections, all mutually exclusive.

No matter how any of those play out, there will be rage. Out of curiosity, would a Big 4 scenario be possible? Bosh seems really carefree and I'd like to think that Wade and Bron wouldn't do him dirty, especially when you consider their relationships/experiences in the past.

I still think the most likely scenario is that Lebron is hoping Riley can pull of a sign and trade for Mario and that Riley can get Pau. All this Melo talk is nonsense and the team gets even smaller. Melo might be waiting for Bosh to go to Houston, but Riley sure isn't.

Whether it was an issue for LBJ or not -I never thought it was- it's an issue now. Court of public opinion is watching. I'm willing to bet we'll hear some grumblings about how it wouldn't be so nice for LBJ to go back to CLE after all.

The funny thing is I bet parts of all of these mutually exclusive options are being considered by LeBron.

In a world where men had balls we'd see Miami immediately offer Melo LeBron's space and get Wade-Melo-Bosh and then have the Cavs resign Deng and Ariza

Well we know the Letter is a leak issue from Miami, not saying its not a real issue but it's a great smokescreen by Pat Riley it may literally buy him 24 hours to move Chalmers or talk to Bron before he leaves we'll see nothing is getting done. Here is to hoping Bron hops on that plane and doesn't announce because that would leave Bosh on a ISLAND which would add added pressure to LEbron to stay IMO.

I'm going to say it again, a lot of you are really underestimating what Riley did.

I don't think Riley did anything re: the letter. That letter has likely been in LeBron's head since it came out 4 years ago. Same witht he jersey burning, urinal cakes, taunts about his father leaving him, Delonte/Gloria, etc. Is it really reasonable to expect any human being to forget about that stuff? Has any athlete in history ever experienced anything even remotely like all of that? For that matter, has any human being in history every been so publicly and maliciously attacked in the media and in a public forum? And to then expect one of the most proud people to just forget about it all and slink back to Cleveland without ever talking to gilbert, the rookie GM and the rookie HC? Makes no sense.

The money is basically impossible for a Big 4. You'd have to do something like Wade starting at 9.5, Bosh at 13,Lebron & Melo at 17, and then Granger gets acquired with the TPE and McBob in a S&T for Mario because we wouldn't have the MLE in this scenario.

Then we'd only have the room exception and vet min contracts to augment
