Why do you assume Lin would sit on your bench? He did hit 9 three pointers in one game against Philly last year.

Lin would not even sit on the 6ers bench he would be bought out. As you stated he has the ability to win games which would take away from next years tank.

What incentive would Lin have to accept a buyout?

Lin still wants to play. He will be in a contract year and would want to prove himself. MCW will get the bulk of the minutes and none of it would be at the 2 position.

Lin's a better shooter than Wroten and Anderson only plays well against the Rockets. MCW is tall enough to defend 2 guards so I don't think a Lin/Williams backcourt is that unfeasable. If he's looking for minutes, being on a bad team is probably the best way to get them.

The problem is Lin is too good of a player to keep around. Lin has the ability to win the 6ers an extra 5 games which could take them from a 25 win season to a 30 win season. That 5 game push could lose the 6ers valuable slot position in the 2015 draft.

Fans are probably getting tired of tanking so at least Linsanity might be enough of a draw to keep their interest. Besides, they got MCW with the 9th pick and Noel with the 6th so slot position doesn't always matter.

Lin at best is a combo backup guard. We have MCW at the point. No need for Lin. There is no future with Linsanity in Philly.

What Lin are you watching to think he is a difference maker for a team. He isn't even a starter in this league. His numbers are average at best.
You need to go back to the Sixers board .

No player is good enough for Philly because they are try hard at tanking.

/shrug.

MCW is a good young player. However, the health of his knee is suspect.

Either way, I don't really care to talk about Philly. Can't beat their logic of best tankers in NBA.

Lin is better than James Anderson, Tony Wroten, Elliot Williams, Casper Ware, Eric Maynor or any other guard on Philly's roster besides MCW. And while MCW was the ROY his shooting percentages were horrible. 40% fg and 70% ft and 26% 3ptfg.

and you don't have to be a starter to be a "difference maker"

Lin shot 45% fg with 36% from the 3 and 82% Fts. He'll probably play the 2-guard for Philly and switch off to play the point when MCW needs to rest. Love it. Good Bye McHale.

Hope Lin gets bought out and gets to choose his team, Philly is gonna be horrible for him... they boo everyone except for Iverson. They even boo'd McNabb. Lin is AI lite he is a warrior so maybe Philly fans won't.

If Lin ends up on a bad team next year, say Philly/Milwaukee, it'll be good for him. He can get a lot of minutes and inflate his stats, which would be good for him in a contract year.

Hmmm... does this mean the widely rumored PHI deal was all a load of bull? Or did Hinke back out?

I haven't looked over the sixers roster in depth recently, but from some of the summaries I've seen about their draft picks, I think 25 wins is pegging then WAY too low. Try adding 12-20. Without Lin, who could knock it higher.

Noel is going to kill it this year, and Embiid is going to kill it when he comes back.

Remember PHI started off hot last year before MCW went down, and they didn't have Noel. Thaddeus Young exploded onto the scene last year, and they just picked up Embiid in the draft. I actually see them possibly squeaking into the playoffs this season, and if not this season then definitely the following season.

Houston fans have to stop talking like the sixers actually want Lin to help our team. We would be taking him off your hands so you can sign bosh and parsons, plain and simple. We want cheap young players and picks. We don't want Lin to take young guys minutes and force MCW to play the 2 and hamper his pg development. Stop acting like Lin and his bloated salary is something philly should actually covet.
