IMO LeBron only went back because he knew the Heat were finished. Wade was getting old, and the team couldn't didn't have the salary space to bring in new talent. So LeBron went to the next up-and-coming team in the East with its lottery picks (Irving, Wiggins). Plus they have the assets to trade for a superstar like Love. It was obvious LeBron was going to stay in the East where any team he joined would have a easy walk to the finals. Not sure I understand why LeBron is being called "selfless" for doing this.

I am sure part of him is happy about going back home, but he really lucked out that Cleveland landed all of the top picks and is in good shape. It being Cleveland gives an easy out without looking like a ring chaser jumping ship.

As a Heat fan, all I can say is thanks for the memories, Lebron. I feel lucky to have watched him play on my favorite team for four amazing years.

Congrats to Cavs fans.

Amazing PR by LeBron and his team. Everything that came out wasn't leaked at all. It was just stupid speculation by desperate reporters. I love how he shunned ESPN and took it to SI. Right now on ESPN, they're giving credit to SI. I always liked SI. Hopefully this helps them with more traffic to their site.

I would've loved to see Gilbert apologize to LeBron. He needs to pen another open letter praising LeBron.

Other quick notes, I wonder if Haslem is still going to get paid? Same with Wade?

And Riley straight looked desperate drafting Napier and signing Danger Granger. LeBron must have just looked at him with a confused face when Riley presented LeBron with Granger and McBob.

If Bosh also leaves, I agree. I see no reason why he would stay without Lebron.

It's been like this since the playoffs. They got so cocky after finally getting to the playoffs.

Pretty much.

Miami fans calling another fan base cocky   that's rich lol

Lebron gave Miami four incredible years. Four trips to the Finals, two championships. It was a special run. All Miami fans should be thankful, and look forward to building a new team for the future. They should have a ton of cap space and be able to completely remake the team over the next two or three years.

One of those three teams should not be mentioned in the same breath as "fun".

Strong decision, great challenge - good for you, LeBron. (I wish Gilbert didn't own the team but that's another matter.)

I hope with Blatt at the helm that the team gels quickly. Should be fun to watch.

Congrats, Cavs fans, you deserve it.

The one year Cleveland didn't win the #1 pick, Anthony Davis goes there. Imagine if HE was with the Cavs. It's a wrap for the NBA

I'm legitimately happy for the city of Cleveland, get Kevin Love and enjoy 4 straight trips to the finals, if not more.

On the bright side, the rest of the league has a chance to win the lottery now.
