I've actually been reading some "post-Decision" power rankings at work today and you'd be surprised at the consensus placement of the Bucks by many of these writers then. For example, B/R article had us at #24 out of 30. I actually think that's an accurate projection. How is it so hard to believe that we might be better than the following teams next year?

Philly
Boston
Minnesota (post-Love trade)
Orlando
LA (Lakers)
Knicks (if Carmelo bolts)
Sacramento
Utah

I think we slot right in the 7-10 range next season unless we have a repeat of the injury issues we suffered last year. I think people are relying on an unreasonable amount of lottery luck if they think we're still a "shoe-in" for another top 3 or top 5 pick. I could see it going either way.

I'm not saying I disagree with your overall sentiment, but him going to Cleveland means nothing compared to him going to Miami when looking at the East landscape. If anything, the East is worse, because Cleveland would have been better sans Bron than Miami will be sans Bron, IMO.

Stay away from Bledsoe now. We need to rebuild the right way. In four years well be battling the sixers to represent the east in the finals.

Best post. There is no championship on the horizon for the next 3-4 years. Build slowly. I assume kidd, Hammond and the new owners aren't as dumb as some of the posters here who want Eric Gordon, Austin Rivers and an assortment of other trash. Add pieces slowly.

I just wonder why Phoenix hasn't, from what we know, made an offer to Bledsoe. If they want to keep him why wouldn't they preempt an offer sheet?

Ehhh, I guess I still remember the non injured Eric Gordon and liked him a lot. Plus I don't really see any use or positive assets coming from Hammond for that pair at this point. So at worst it's prob a wash.

Apparently Bledsoe is repped by the Rich Paul, who's obviously been busy with other things. Hopefully we'll get some news on EB soon.

I like Ersan too. I think his time has past though.
Unfortunately, he has no trade value with his current contract. The only thing he wil do next year is take minutes away from the young guys.
He can be Gooden for the next 2 years, waving the towel :D

PHI-Should be Worse than Us

BOS: We added Parker, they add Health Rondo + Smart + Hood + Finished above us by 10 Games

MIN: They could easily have 25+ Wins by Time Love is Traded

ORL: We added Parker, they added Gordon + Elfrid, have tons of developing young players + were 8 Games better

LAL: They were 12!! Game better than us with almost 0 Kobe + No Randle.

NYK-Unknown until we see what happens with Melo and FA's

SAC-13 Games better than us last year + young roster Only if Cousins + Multiple others lose entire season due to Injuries

UTAH-Utah played almost .400 Basketball with Burke last year. Now they have added Exum, hard to imagine any scenario barring injuries where we are close to them

The only way i would've taken Lin was for that new Orleans 1st. That will likely be 10-20. That's $15 MM for a mid first rounder.

Then I would assume you trade Lin at the deadline for a 2nd or something ideally, so it's really about $9 MM for a mid first and a 2nd in a perfect world. No guarantee it works out that way, but that would have been my ideal scenario.

I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

The new CBA is a little bit different, but you can buy a pick late in the 1st for like 4-5 million usually, right? Wasn't that what Phoenix always used to sell them for?

That doesn't seem to be as common any more. I don't think any were sold this year? I'm all for it though. I want as many 1st round picks (and other young assets) as possible. I don't care how we get them.

Can only use $3m cash each year now.

Its actually 3.3M now and goes up .1M every year under the current CBA. But yes, thats largely why they aren't sold much any more.

Bledsoe is the same age as Lilliard and has put up similar numbers. You guys wouldn't want that on our team. I just think its crazy. Rebuilding the "right way" is nice, but I don't see a point guard other than Mundiay who has the potential of Bledsoe next draft. If you can get that now, do it.

Lilard is also likely to age far better than Bledsoe and is not coming off of a devastating injury. We have 4 years to get the right PG. We can easily roll with Wolters for 3 years and then add a PG to Parker/Giannis when they are 23

fear not, bledsoe is a top 5 pick talent

if you can get a guy like that without giving much up, you do it every time

it's silly to pin your hopes on next years draft, who are we going to get better?

So with Bosh staying in Miami, Houston definitely matches for Parsons. That would make Dallas go after their backup plan which was Deng. That makes Deng less likely to go to Phoenix, and Phoenix more likely to match for Bledsoe.

Man, this is way more fun than just waiting for LeBron to release a decision.
