And if you can't understand that, well your missing the point.

IMO, the older Heat fans are like "ok Lebron went his own way" and accept it as just another event. For the younger or newer Heat fans it's got to be a kick in the guts, as that's pretty much what they grew watching or how they became a fan.

But we older fans have been there done that. I remember ZO's illness and that was a kick in the guts. Also Timmy Hardaway when he was in one leg, was sad to see. Still the greatest moment for me was my favorite player DWade becoming a stud. Our very own stud, and then winning it all as the Finals MVP.

We rented a mercenary player in Lebron (I have spoken with friends and associates and that's how they see LeBron's actions with the college thing), and won the tittle 2 more times than most teams. I say that's a pretty good bang for your buck.

Let's build this team Riley, I want to remain competitive.

GO HEAT!!!

YES remain positive folks. We still got Wade, which is better than what a lot of teams got 8-)

Good post I felt if Lebron re-signed he would really cement himself as a heater

I think Nike had a HUGE part in this. Johnny Football, Lebron James, both of Nikes top athletes in one city.

Resign Bosh at all costs then go from there.

Would Houston be amenable to a sign-and-trade? Must they in order to clear space for Bosh/Parsons?

That's when I first started watching the heat, was when Eddie Jones and Mason got traded here. Excited to see that Jones/Mourning/Mason/Hardway/Brian Grant. The zo got diagnosed with the kidney thing. Glad ZO won in 2006. It's different if a team drafted the guy then if he was just a free agent "rental".

"Miami" fanship went from being a "washed out football city/metropolis" to having a 3-time champion basketball team in a very short period of time. Most people don't realize that. Build Pat a statue.

He's waiting on Bosh... if Bosh says no, expect Wade for the max, Haslem on 10 million per year, and a bunch of vet minimums.

So there are people who actually want to tank rather than compete with a team led by Wade and Bosh... Really?
Become the next Orlando Magic....
Bosh is in his prime and don't forget the player he was. Stats in Miami were due to his role. He becomes our #1 option right now. Wade can lead this team again. Let's get them some help and compete!

They actually prefer separate markets. People can only buy so much apparel.

Isaiah Thomas, Luol Deng, Trevor Ariza, there still are quality free agents on the market.

This is an excerpt from an article this season, here is a link http://sports.yahoo.com/news/forever-praised--forever-damned--lebron-james-rises-once-again-064546250.html

Most times, James' inner circle moves easily through the corridors and news conferences where rival agents are rarely, if ever, credentialed in the NBA Finals. In the regular season and playoffs, you'll see star agents with the run of arenas, but never with league-issued passes. There are benefits to working with the King, and perhaps that's why Paul seemed so perplexed when a dutiful arena guard wouldn't let him into his client's news conference late Sunday.

"I'm LeBron James' agent," Rich Paul told the security woman.

She looked at his credential. She looked at him. She shrugged.

"I'm LeBron James' agent," Paul said again. "What don't you understand about that?

She told him simply that his credential didn't allow access into the news conference. She didn't seem confused, nor doubting of his fancy job. This was a news conference, and he didn't seem to be a reporter, nor a team official.

Paul was reaching now. "I can't be LeBron James' agent because I've got sneakers on?"

Reading this it wouldn't surprise me if LeBron's camp pushed hard for him to return, the Cavaliers will give him and his camp the key to Quicken Loans Arena. The Heat didn't give them that kind of power.

Return to Miami Heat
