I don't see Riley fiddling with his thumbs for 2 years at this point in his professional career. I imagine he's going to try and do something.

Get CB back (although I would like it to be a lesser cost) and try to grab a legit C, cobble more role players together and hope Wade comes back with a vengeance.

Its hard to believe Riley could be blinded sided by this decision from James. or maybe he knew he had to show 100% focus on Lebron if there was a chance of him returning. But now its rebuilding time, not only that but it may be time for a new era.

Guys I believe that Riley will be going forward with a plan to hand this organization over to Alonzo Mourning and Riley exiting out to retire. It might be a year or two but i think the process will start now.

Become the next Orlando Magic....
Bosh is in his prime and don't forget the player he was. Stats in Miami were due to his role. He becomes our #1 option right now. Wade can lead this team again. Let's get them some help and compete!

I do want to compete, but im worried about how many years of MAX money they get.

Most times, James' inner circle moves easily through the corridors and news conferences where rival agents are rarely, if ever, credentialed in the NBA Finals. In the regular season and playoffs, you'll see star agents with the run of arenas, but never with league-issued passes. There are benefits to working with the King, and perhaps that's why Paul seemed so perplexed when a dutiful arena guard wouldn't let him into his client's news conference late Sunday.

"I'm LeBron James' agent," Rich Paul told the security woman.

She looked at his credential. She looked at him. She shrugged.

"I'm LeBron James' agent," Paul said again. "What don't you understand about that?

She told him simply that his credential didn't allow access into the news conference. She didn't seem confused, nor doubting of his fancy job. This was a news conference, and he didn't seem to be a reporter, nor a team official.

Paul was reaching now. "I can't be LeBron James' agent because I've got sneakers on?"

Reading this it wouldn't surprise me if LeBron's camp pushed hard for him to return, the Cavaliers will give him and his camp the key to Quicken Loans Arena. The Heat didn't give them that kind of power.

**** Rich Paul, he's an obnoxious clown.

If Lebron actually let his inner circle make the decision for him due to the fact that they didnt get pampered by the Heat, then he isnt as mature as thought he has become. Still an immature kid that leaves as soon as the going gets tough and he doesnt get his way.

He wasn't blindsided. But I think it's the type of situation where you don't plan for contingencies because you can't afford to lose. That's usually a good mentality. Unfortunately, we lost.

The championship window is closed. We can't win with whatever we do, contingency-wise. Best we can do is stay competitive and ride out the rest of Wade's career gracefully while stocking up on young talent and getting ready for our next era.

If Cleveland pulls off the Love trade, they are going to be the most beloved contending team in quite a long time.

You start with LeBron, the unquestioned best player in basketball, who now has all the positive press of "coming home" to ride into this season with. People have been busy hating him for the last 5 years or so, and while they were slowly turning, this is the type of move that will really shift the perspective on him.

Then you have Kyrie, a guy who hasn't proven a ton on the court, but has already become a hit off of it, and has the kind of flashy game that fans fall in love with.

Now if you add Love to the mix, you have arguably the best white American basketball player since Larry Bird... and whether it matters to you or me, let's not kid ourselves, it matters a ton to the casual basketball fan.

This has all the makings of a very loved team. And yeah, its a little annoying because the way they came together won't be THAT different from the Heat (Wade/Kyrie both drafted by team, LeBron comes over in free agency, and another power forward comes over except in Love's case he'll be forcing a trade rather than signing), and yet this team will be praised endlessly while ours was hated going on 4 years. But what can ya do.

Also, I wonder if Kyrie, Love and LeBron will make a team-up commercial all playing their older basketball alter-egos. They've all done one before, Kyrie's and Love's even came together. I'd like to see that
