Pau gone I think, I prefer this deal though. Perfectly aligned with Kobe.

He must be, yes. These deals are using cap space, not exceptions, so no room left for Pau.

Wow 9 mil per for Hill but that's the going rate for big men these days. 2 years is fine, but what's our cap situation looking like now? Is a Pau S&T still on the table?

ehh..not crazy about this or the young signing..but it's still better than getting Melo for $100 million though. Just need to be patient.

I really hope he misheard the total amount as the average.

Would take Hill over Gasol any day.

Hill at 30 minutes per game is an easy double double.

Does this mean Hill at C though? Unless we're not going to retain Kelly. Hill and Randle on the boards though wow!

Kevin Ding on TWC Sports Net made it seem like work ethic was an issue with Hill being a consistent 30 minutes a game type guy. Not sure if it's true or not, but was interesting to hear that since Hill is such a hustler on the court.

Paying him 9M means he'd better be ready to play big minutes, though.

Now this is a GREAT signing. Jordan Hill and Julius Randle are going to be a lot to handle on the boards. Talk about a clean up grew for Kobe and Swaggy's bricks.

9 mill. a year? God damn. But it's just two year like all of you have pointed out. You can use him as an expiring in a trade next season, so not bad at all.

And also, yeah, Pau's gone.
