My problem with Deng is that the Heat are going to look pretty ugly in a few years if we have Bosh, Deng and Wade signed to big contracts.

It looks like we are gonna use Hamilton as our center

Barthel guy as back up

I don't mind lol

We gonna use our money for Deng most likely

It is back to square one if we get Deng and trying to pinch numbers

This time around no one is gonna take a paycut but Wade and UD

True, but with no pick next year and with Wade having only a few years left, it does you no good to tank.

Love Rileys statement. We have done it before we will do it again. No way we are tanking this is a proven organization and we will still be there. I have no worries about that.
If anything the finals have made me feel better about our situation. 1 player does not make a team.

We will probably suck. But then again I think it's all worth it to take out Cleveland one or twice. That's the goal imo. Stick it to em

Retool around this core, give it another run, let it run it's course, and then rebuild.

That's just it. There aren't exactly a lot of options out there. Can't just go out and drop money on whatever big is available. Need to find someone that is a logical fit and worth the cash.

Or is that because he wants to compete, not play with Swaggy P?

It's definitely because he wants to compete, but if he's willing to turn down more money to compete, is he really going to choose us? We're not going to be a championship-quality team unless he takes way less, Deng comes with the rest, AND Wade turns back the clock.

I don't really agree. I think a core of Wade, Bosh and Pau can at least compete for a title if surrounded by some quality role players. No, not the kind of favorites we have gotten used to being the last 4 years, but in the mix.

It probably is smarter to target Deng or whoever else before any RFAs. That money will just get tied up and likely matched in most of the more attractive cases.

Keep working it though.
