@Mike_Bresnahan: Two best Laker offers to Pau: 2 years, $23 mill or 3 years, $29 mill. No longer applicable, obviously. He wants to play for a contender.

Is the holy trinity: Melo is the father, Rose is Jesus, and Noah is the Holy Spirit.
KC: Do you still think you're a championship-caliber team?
Gar: I never said that and correct me if I'm wrong

Can we trade KC for someone else and Neil Funk as well?

What a source.

"Be patient it will come."

If he was saying pro-Knicks stuff, people would be clowning him.

At this point it's 50/50. I say Melo is coming to Chicago. Am I a source now or nah?

I have an agent for my field (don't worry, I'm not remotely famous). My agent's girlfriend is an entertainment agent at CAA. We obviously spend more time talking about basketball than my own career, and according to him there's a big split at CAA about Melo leaving all that money on the table at NY. Not sure if it's Melo's agent specifically, but there's basically a divide on what he should do. Part of CAA thinks he should take the money, others think he'll be worth more money if he's able to play for a winner.

At the end of the day, I think Melo will do whatever he wants, but part of the hesitation to make a selection could be as a result of the divide in opinion amongst his own reps.

He just texted me saying that the vibe in CAA is that he'll end up in Chicago, and that they're trying to talk the Knicks into facilitating a sign and trade.

For the record, I completely trust him and believe that he was actually told this, but obviously it's not first hand info. Do with it what you will.

I am now officially dangerously optimistic.

That's why I'm not stressing right now. Worst case scenario, we have a 50+ win team with a bunch of young talent and picks. Great time to be a Bulls fan right now!

For those that missed it, here is Bullslas' post from earlier in the day:

Sorry for the boom, but marketing is working on Melo. It seems Melo will officially be a Bull. This is a great day for us Bulls fans after the past 3 seasons. Please, I can't share but people laughed at me on Sunday with Lebron info. Travel arrangements are being made. People laughed at me about Rose going to LA to visit.

I'm not posting again, but to all Bulls fans, it finally worked. Give credit to Garpax, Thibs, Noah and Rose!

He wants a contract no doubt. He has conditions. The players union wants him to have one. If it was simply money though he would have signed. He still wants money and is being patient with the bulls to free up that 4 year deal while not gutting the team. Hence the long decision. Logical speculation is all.

But that's the thing. If he committed and forced the issue then it would not be a big issue.
If Taj wasn't a key factor we could have signed him outright by now.

He wants money too which the bulls are willing to play. Mexican pissing match IMHO. ( sorry if racially insensitive). He won't commit for 15 when he can get more and the bulls will offer more but not gut the team.

True but his indecision is holding up the other moves that could be made to improve the team.

It's gotten way to close for anything other then success.

If he wants the most money it has nothing to do with incompetence.

If he wants the most money he would have gotten it by now.

Thanks for sharing Homo. People sometimes are too harsh on these kind of rumors and take them as facts, getting frustrated if they don't come true, but that's one of the most fun things to read on forums.
Constantly underwhelmed by the Bulls.

Cocky Cavs fans...the #1 thing I didn't miss from the last 4 years. Know your place Cleveland.

Bitter Piston's fan. :P You have a weird obsession with the city of Cleveland  I jumped for joy when we leapfrogged into the top 3 and made Detroit lose their lotto pick. Enjoy basketball hell

To both Mitch and Bullslas credit, when Isola posted that Melo going to knicks article a day ago, both of them immediately claimed BS and stood by their ground that it was not true. And everything following has made certain aspects of what they had to say sound very truthful.
