As B&B mentioned, Carmelo has 3 brands working for him here: His own brand, the Jordan Brand, and the Bulls brand. He can make that money up; especially if he wins a title.

It's gotten way to close for anything other then success.

If he wants the most money it has nothing to do with incompetence.

If he wants the most money he would have gotten it by now.

It is obvious he wants both the money and the winning, but he can't. The fact that he is still conflicted means the Bulls have done their job. The Bulls don't control this situation any more than Riley runs anything in Miami as we all saw today.

If you can hear Frank Isola's voice in your head when you read those tweets, it's the absolute worst.

I have an agent for my field (don't worry, I'm not remotely famous). My agent's girlfriend is an entertainment agent at CAA. We obviously spend more time talking about basketball than my own career, and according to him there's a big split at CAA about Melo leaving all that money on the table at NY. Not sure if it's Melo's agent specifically, but there's basically a divide on what he should do. Part of CAA thinks he should take the money, others think he'll be worth more money if he's able to play for a winner.

At the end of the day, I think Melo will do whatever he wants, but part of the hesitation to make a selection could be as a result of the divide in opinion amongst his own reps.

He just texted me saying that the vibe in CAA is that he'll end up in Chicago, and that they're trying to talk the Knicks into facilitating a sign and trade.

For the record, I completely trust him and believe that he was actually told this, but obviously it's not first hand info. Do with it what you will.

I am now officially dangerously optimistic.

Not a very good Melo breaking source, now is it?

Cocky Cavs fans...the #1 thing I didn't miss from the last 4 years. Know your place Cleveland.

Bitter Piston's fan. :P You have a weird obsession with the city of Cleveland  I jumped for joy when we leapfrogged into the top 3 and made Detroit lose their lotto pick. Enjoy basketball hell

Am I reading the wrong board here? I thought I was on the Bulls board, do we now have a central division board?

Also, nice to see the Mia...err Cleveland fans coming out the woodwork again/green

Sorry for the boom, but marketing is working on Melo. It seems Melo will officially be a Bull. This is a great day for us Bulls fans after the past 3 seasons. Please, I can't share but people laughed at me on Sunday with Lebron info. Travel arrangements are being made. People laughed at me about Rose going to LA to visit.

I'm not posting again, but to all Bulls fans, it finally worked. Give credit to Garpax, Thibs, Noah and Rose!

The people on the Knicks board are badmouthing the Bulls in increasing numbers and they're gradually becoming more delusional. Momentum is shifting our way guys.

real

This is Rose's 5 brotha!

I disagree...

I know right? It's not really five on five. The Bulls would most likely beat the Cavs if they don't make a deal on Love or the fact that we have depth and a defensive minded coach.

Who cares what the Knicks Board members think.

I think it might be a time for a momentum meter update though

There's no chance a bunch of marketing firms or personnel know that Melo is coming to Chicago and nobody else does. That's such BS.
