Question for the "Grateful for Lebron's 4 years types"

Post#1 » by contract » Sat Jul 12, 2014 9:44 am

Can I get a quick show of hands of all the Heat fans thankful for Lebron's 4 years in Miami who were ready to throw Wade under the bus for being greedy and selfish if he didn't opt out of his guaranteed $41 million and take a huge paycut for the good of the team?

Wade and Bosh were expected to fall on their swords for the good of the team, but the jackass dragged out the Decision 2.0 and then left us in a lurch ... and he's a great guy?

People were worried about Heat fans embarrassing themselves by burning jerseys and trashing Lebron? I've got news for you ... YOU already embarrassed us! YOU are the reason we can't have nice things!

I agree, I am seeing a definite concerted effort to appear to be better than the fans of Cleveland.
the bottom line is this, LeBron James played for 7 years in Cleveland and got nothing from it in terms of championships had a only lost in the finals. He decided enough was enough and he came to South Florida where he would have help to win, that help was provided for him.
a team that LeBron is on will never get great draft picks, hhis presence alone is enough to elevate just about any team to the playoffsso since his departure from Cleveland, the basketball gods have apparently smiled on them with a couple top draft picks to the point now where the grass is apparently looking greener back in Cleveland cut.
he used to South Florida, the Miami Heat and the fans as a means to an end when it was expedient for him, and at the first opportunity he's taking his ball and going home, at the first sign of trouble.

I don't think that any of them expected Lebron to leave if they all did opt out. That was the first domino remember? From what I read, people were afraid that if Wade and Bosh didn't opt out then he was leaving for sure. I think that the goal was for them to ALL take pay cuts to ensure we were able to place talent around them. I can't believe you would chastise anyone for wanting to continue our run MORE than some idiots that couldn't handle their emotions enough to not burn a player's jersey. Especially a player that has helped us win championships to the level that James had. Not the best comparison...

The "Will you be mad at Wade if he opts in" thread, was the worst thread of all time.

Agree about the idiocy of the Wade thread but we got the 4 finals and Bron has now gone. I've moved on.

That's fine, but if a Heat fan was prepared to trash Wade for hurting the team, they should be just as ready to trash Lebron for hurting the team. That's what pisses me off.

I'm grateful for LeBron's 4 years with us, the two NBA championships, and the 4 Eastern Conference championships. Now we need to put together a team to beat him. :D

Please remember that many here people were not HEAT fans but in fact, Lebron fans. You understand Wade's value and respect who he is much more than a person that only cares about the HEAT because Lebron is on it. If you want to tell them how you feel I suggest you put this same post up in the Cavs board. Your intended audience resides there now.
