but now, now it's just lebron, those other players are nothing but "supporting cast" & "trading chips", it's all media whoring & bandwagonism from now on.

I loved watching the first summer league game. There was some really good D going on. I don't think LBJ is going to want to carry the team through the season anymore. He'll want to step back. play point forward, and facilitate. Frankly that's just fine by me.

Exactly lol you'd rather have a team that struggles to make the playoffs than a team that you can pencil 50+ wins to in July. Come on man....

I will say this tho I'd love to see Lebron as the "old head" and teach these young guys, they have pretty good depth right now I don't think I would like the kevin live trade. But I know lbj needs a floor spacer but why not make a smaller move for like Ryan Anderson or someone at that level. Don't wanna break up the young core kinda

OMG I'd totally forgotten how idiotic the General board would respond negatively to any little bit of Cavs news and how someone made a thread about all things. Man, I really didn't miss that nonsense. Well, I guess we're back to being the most hated team once again.

I'l take that over watching 3-4 years of development to watch the cavs compete in the finals. Thats how I see it, but I get where you are coming from.

From an outsider but close to the situation being a long time heat fan, I can tell you that no matter what you feel about the young guns, you always go all in for the title. The Lebron story is one that's never happened before but believe it or not Miami had a similar situation in 2003-04. Miami started 0-7, I remember losing to the Rookie Lebron led Cavs actually I think in our 7th game. But the young kids of Wade as a rookie, Caron Butler, Lamar Odom, and Haslem were coming together and exciting and eventually won a playoff series and pushed the 61 win pacers to 6 games. That summer Shaq was available and I had mixed feelings when we got him.

I still wonder about that core and what Miami could have added to it, however winning that 2006 title validated everything, even though it was a small window.

Good luck next season.

Despite "going home" many people have an irrational hate for Lebron. I tried to defend him for 4 years but you will drive yourself crazy. I know you guys dealt with it for 7 previous seasons.. But the hate while in Miami was times a thousand.

Try to just block it out and remember every single fan would want Lebron on their team.. And that's why there is so much anger, or jealousy I should say.

I'm all for going all in, but that doesn't mean you toss every single asset into a deal for players who don't have that kind of worth. It's almost never a good idea to overpay for players. People think that the Cavs young players have little worth and the same for the first rounders and yet they want to relieve them of all of them, it's just not a good way to attempt to build a team. First and foremost you have to figure out what you've got. And, no matter what people say about Love and his intentions fact is, he's a rental and therefore his worth is way overblown right now.

The city of Cleveland hasn't won a title since when? You just got the best player in the game in his prime? Yeah, you go all-in now even if it means you'll be **** 6-10 years down the road and right back to where you were in 2011. Winning it all > winning a bunch of games and a few playoff series while you wait for guys to develop that may never reach the potential you thought they had while Lebron eventually begins to regress.

That being said, the KLove rumored trade... Waiters+Bennett+Firsts is fine with me, but if they asked for Wiggins I would tell them to go **** themselves. They have no leverage asking for demands right now. The amount of teams that Love will sign and extension with is limited and he's going to "for sure leave" after the season. As long as Cleveland and Golden State don't get in a bidding war, everything will be fine. If it means waiting 1 year for him to become a free agent and then signing him or someone else (maybe a better fit like a guy who plays defense as well) to a big deal instead, so be it, Kyrie and more importantly Wiggins will be another year older then.

It should be interesting to see how It's going to work out, and if Lebron is going to help these young players grow or if he's going to stop their growth.

The reality of it is you're probably right. But you know that's the ebb and flow of the media my man. But looking long term, the young studs the Cavs have now will develop to be 1000 times more better impact wise than LeBron ever had in his first 7 years.

But I feel you, any success from here on out will be attributed to LeBron and that's how the media will draw it up.

Jesus. Just enjoy it. Don't discount the incredible, incredible luck you guys have had getting THREE #1 picks in the last four years...and that's all it is: luck. Be happy LeBron is coming back.

There is a dignity and comfort in being the underdog. I say this as a Raps fan who generally only has that comfort.

I sort of understand the OP. Even if you do win it all, you feel like you didn't quite "earn" it because it wasn't done the right away with the core that you had the past 4 years.

But at the end of the day, you gotta remember that winning is winning. They don't put asterisks next to championship titles.

2013 was lack of skill not luck.
