I would offer him 4 / $65 just to get things started. You think he sees Hayward is worth the max and then is going to let us lowball him. He'd just take the Pacers offer.

My offer was more than the pacers per year and as a nut job he isn't worth the same as Hayward. If he had behaved like a normal human being and not screwed up that team he would be worth more.

It looks like the Bulls are kicking the tires now as a backup plan.

They must have lost a little faith in Jimmy Butler.

Butler can play the 2 or 3. Dunleavy is the guy they want to replace.

It almost seems like Stephenson is waiting on us to contact him.

If we don't even reach out to lance this off season, fire Cho

If we don't offer I won't care. If he were not a nut case he would have already gone somewhere.

With Hayward off the board, Lance is my top target. Hope the FO is not afraid of him being a Hornet.

I have a feeling Cho has been traumatized by Hairston's off court issues. Probably hesitating on Lance.

hornets, mavs and pacers

Both the Hornets and Mavericks have their misgivings on Stephenson, of course. Though he averaged 13.8 points, 7.2 rebounds and 4.6 assists last season, concerns about his maturity, on and off the court, remain. That is the main reason that Stephenson hasn’t gotten the type of offer — a four-year, $44 million deal similar to what Tyreke Evans received from New Orleans last summer — he has been seeking.

So, that's all he's asking for, huh? Still a little over his pay grade the same way it was for Tyreke that had a more solid pedestal to stand on entering free-agency, but it's a lot better than our initial intentions that I'll no longer discuss in a namely manner

hornets have a slight edge vs the mavs for the next 24 hours because the mavs are still tied to the parsons contract. hopefully kemba has been selling lance on coming to charlotte while they play together in nyc. cho needs to move quickly if he is truly interested. i am sure he has done all the required background checks by now.

that being said, i will never blame our front office if we decide to pass on lance due to the character issues.

i am fine either way. but if we are in fact interested, don't waste any more time.
