Solely based on potential or what?
Personal belief yes. I think IT is Nate 2.0. Not a fan. BK has a clear NBA role if used properly. However, I do understand people have differing opinions.

Bird rights are transferred in a trade in the player has the rights initially and the contract hasnt expired. Some people have varying levels of BR depending on their service time.

Re: Bucks looking at Bledsoe, probably.
I would feel so much more comfortable moving forward if we just got rid of Knight now. He's a threat to our balance sheet to me, because I think he's the type of player the Bucks typically would needlessly overpay, and then look back and consider him a junk asset that needs to be attached to a better one to get out of. Maybe that won't be the case with some of new faces in the organization, and some of the old ones out. Hopefully.
I think the Bucks have several assets that are actually movable and could really live the so-called #OWNTHEFUTURE they have been touting. I think Zaza is moveable as a veteran big. I think Delfino is movable as a floor spacer if he is back healthy from injury. And I think Ersan and Knight are not only movable but could actually net something pretty good, especially in a package deal. There are moves to be made if anyone on this team actually wants to get creative for once.

Re: Bucks looking at Bledsoe, probably.
You guys read the Q&A with Jason Kidd that Gardner did?
Kidd said we'll be seeing Giannis play point a lot more this week (summer league)
That could be huge for us during the season!

Delfino/Zaza for any expiring would be great.

Interesting that he hasn't talked to Mayo yet.

I like everything I heard in the interview. Seems like a much different coaching style from both Skiles and drew. Love that he's willing to try giannis at the point and judging from summer league game 1 it seems like more than lip service

Mayo has manners. He was taught never to talk with his mouth full, so naturally Kidd hasn't had a chance to talk to him yet.

Word is that he tried calling him, but when OJ answered Kidd couldn't understand him because he had a mouth full of food.randy84 wrote:StikWitEM wrote:You guys read the Q&A with Jason Kidd that Gardner did?

Bet Hammond hipped Kidd to Giannis's PG skills. I got the feel that there was a huge disconnect between Hammond and Drew last year. At least at this very early stage, it seems the front office and coaching staff are more in synergy, which is kind of funny considering how the hire came about.

man Kings FO is a hot mess. They let Thomas go to not pay him 7 million but they bring on Collison for 5.5 million who has proven in not one but two different stops that he isn't a starting caliber point guard? I have no clue what direction that FO wants to take. None of their moves have any rhyme or reason

I can't read anything into that yet.
All I know is that Kidd is in charge. That's his personality and he's going to run with it. And frankly his alpha-dogism is probably his greatest strength.

Kidd's going to fall in love with Giannis.

Yeah very little coherency in Sac Town. I'd be trying to buy low on McLemore, knowing he may never put it together. But he's very young and immature, so there's hope that he could eventually start to figure things out. He should become a great shooter and is a great athlete. I'd take a shot there. They basically just drafted a direct replacement for him, so I'm betting they're ready to move on from him.
I think they'd do Knight straight up. I would take that deal for sure.

It's still really early, but I do think they are trying to make it work with Hammond as player personnel guy and Kidd as head ball coach. I actually don't think the situation is set up for success, because I don't think either guy is savvy enough to play with the big dogs in terms of management and personnel, but we will see.

Actually hasn't everyone been calling for Hammond to just be a scout? Morway can do the heavy lifting. Kidd can be the recruiter. It may work better than people think.

This is one of the nicest things ever said about Mayo on this board.
