I really hope we don't sign this scrub. He won't add anything to this team. Bynum> Roberts anyway and I'd rather have Siva as the 3rd PG on our team as well!

If we grab a PG I want him to be able to hit the 3 keep turnovers low and have some NBA experience. A guy like Nelson makes perfect sense but if we wanted to sign a guy to the minimum what is stopping us from grabbing a guy like Steve Blake? I would much rather have him than Brian Roberts.

Other names that would be more beneficial to our team than Brian Roberts; Beno Udrih, Luke Ridnour, Shelvin Mack and DJ Augustine.

There are other options SVG! No need to look at one agency's group of players!

NBA league min guys should be the LAST guys we go after.

1) You can spend all your FA cash, then go over the cap to sign guys to the league min afterward
2) The reason they are there for the league min is because they aren't difference-makers, like at all

You can always find vet min guys who become difference makers... nothing to build a roster around or anything but definitely some nice role players off the bench

Roberts has nba experience, can hit the 3 and does keep TO's low. I think he's better than Bynum, I would consider a Bynum-Roberts swap a success for us. Its another small move but it helps spread the floor for our bigs. Bynum has no role with this team and if we could figure out a way to dump Will and sign Roberts, I would be all for it.

Probably much like the Gray/Harrellson situation, where Bowers would sign this guy to a vets minimum contract and then the Pistons wouldn't pick up the option on Siva, creating another $500K-600K in cap space now, with the idea that this guy would wait to sign officially, along with Gray and Martin, until we use up the rest of our cap space first.

Siva's deal is guaranteed now. Roberts is gone.

Good, I like what I was seeing from Siva in Summer league and would rather develop him instead.
