The likelyhood of Williams working out for us at this contract is very very low. Like 10%.

Its such an out of nowhere move. Not the signing, but the amount. Cho really has to sell me on this one.

THE only possible scenerio I can think of is another team offered the MLE at 5 per for 3 or 4 years and in order to only pay him 2 years we had to go higher. But even that is unlikely, I seriously doubt any team offered more than 2 years 10 million.

If it was 2 years 10 million, I bet the negativity would be far less prevalent on this board.

Yep, just a bad transaction all around. For a lower price, it would've been solid.

Marvin will be viewed as a Hendo contract around here. When play starts, he'll be serviceable, but not above average and we'll just have to suck it up and ride out his contract. He's on overpay, but he will make us better. I bet Vonleh is Zeller-raw and we'll all be thankful that he doesn't start in November

Indeed, but to add disappointment to insult, I think Henderson is a better player

Williams is probably a 6'9 Henderson whose explosiveness is limited. Williams is yet another low-to-mid 30s shooter from deep, as if we weren't loaded with those already.

Paul Pierce signed a two year 11 million dollar deal with Washington! Why are we willing to offer so much for a "backup" for MKG? Williams and Hayward were both offered ridiculous amounts of money, I'd rather keep Hendo for the amount hes paid than over spend on these two.

Williams isn't a backup for MKG he is a starter for Zeller most likely. We spent money to find someone who could start at PF until one of our guys is ready for that.

people were mad at the sheer fact that kwame brown was kwame brown in the same way that people are mad at williams for being williams.

the contract, sure - even though its just two years, but you don't have to dissect the thread to see who's upset at what and how illogical it is

Dude, read the thread.

Zeller better start over this bum. Zeller is a better defender, better rebounder, and a better passer. They even scored at the same rate, around 13pts per 36. This isn't to say how good Zeller is because I'm not that high on Zeller either but just to display how much of a bum Messy Marv is. Jeremy Evans was better at PF for the Jazz too. Look up the on/off court numbers.

Zeller will probably get a shot at starting, but I expect Williams to be in the starting lineup on opening night. The more interesting question is who will start at the end of the year?
My picks:
2020 Draft (3rd pick) - Tyrese Haliburton, Devin Vassell, or Onyeka Okongwu
2021 Draft (11th pick) - Moses Moody

Hopefully neither but Zeller has my edge right now.

Hayward at 16 doesn't look so bad now that you guys got Marv/Roberts locked in at 10 eh?

Zeller might get the MKG 4th quarter blues thanks to Marvin. So I guess Taylor will make MKG unjustly ride the pine in the 4th for #spacing.

All of it is horse crap and cow dookie but the Hayward deal would've hindered us for 5 years. These 2 bums will only hold us back for 2 years. I like Brian Roberts tho and don't really think he's a bum or overpaid but I don't really see him as anything more than a 3rd stringer on a good team like John Lucas III.

Pretty sure BOS would trade you Jeff Green and Brandon Bass for MKG and Biyombo..

I don't think there's a single player on Boston's roster that would interest me in an MKG deal.
