What is the max we can pay Lance on a 2 year deal?

Whatever cap space we have have left 12-13M. If we use JT to dump Gary Neal or something (or trade JT for a future 2nd), we can offer more.

Difference between can and should. Max we should offer on a two year deal is 12 million per. Add years drop per which is why I say 4/40.

I would be around 2 years 26, 3 years 36, and 4 years 44 and I wouldnt complain about any of the three.

I think at this point you have to make sure you get him though.

Okay, thanks.

My guess is CHA won't offer him more than that 12-13. Unlike Hayward I don't think they'd offer Lance a long term contract b/c of his volatile past. They certainly don't seem to be offering anybody many years, even McBob which was supposedly their first priority. Maybe a contract with lucrative team options after 2 years if he is a good boy.

If it came down to 4/52, would you still do it

Thats a heck of a question. I lean towards no, but then I am saying we are better off without lance for 2 million a year.

I lean towards no, but based on the situation Cho is in, I think he has to say yes or ride with this group the next two years.

Lance also can spell Kemba at PG and we have plenty of SG's.

If we don't go after Lance then our front office has failed miserably this offseason. I don't want to watch another season of Henderson starting at shooting guard for us.

No. I struggle at 4/44 that new number is way to much for him.

@ScottAgness
With Luol Deng off to Miami, options are getting slimmer. Dallas and Charlotte remain real contenders with the Pacers for Lance Stephenson.

Really, really hoping that the Rockets dont match that offer sheet for Parsons. That'd effectively knock Dallas completely out.

I want Houston to not match Dallas, (i dont think they will) that ties up all their money so its us and Indy and we can offer more

So what is Dallas' cap situation? I know Cubes tends to have deep pockets, can they outbid us for Lance?

I'll succumb to Cho's bleak offseason if he sign Stephenson. I'm still waiting to see legit interest from our camp in Stephenson beyond just assumptions of what's logical from pundits. I want to read, hear, and/or see a report stating that Stephenson will meet with the Hornets (or is signing with the Hornets) before I believe anything

I think they are at 47-48 without Parsons.

34.3 million plus 3 million from Harris and 10 from Dirk.

Thats like 47.3 million committed.

Hornets should be at 42.9 plus 7 from Marvin = 49.9 million leaving us with 13.1 million left. Roberts would sign with Room Exception so we have about 13.1 and if Dallas doesnt get Parsons they would have 15.7 million left.
