I came here to do two things: get lost and slice **** up & I'm all out of directions.

Butler removing rearview mirror in his car as a symbol to never look back

Wasn't he one of the motivations for Howard coming to Houston? If so this is a risky move as that dude has proven to be a tad petulant when the world isn't perfect.
That's hilarious and co

Q00 wrote:Honestly Morey is smart for not matching. That is WAY too much for Parsons. But he is dumb for putting himself in a situation where he had to match a max offer, when he could've just kept him on a rookie contract for another year. He created this problem, not Dallas.

Couldn't have said it any better myself.

Parsons at 15 mill is too hefty for what he brings to the table, but keeping him at 1 million for another year wouldn't have put them over the cap if they were able to move Lin and Asik earlier (which was their plan all along). Dumb move Morey, dumb move.

Would've saved them from committing to Ariza for 4 years.

I mean less playmaking but slightly more defense

Trevor Ariza is a contract-year phenom. Watch him revert back to his old ways this season.

He only plays well whenever his contract is up. He fooled Daryl Morey into handing him a big contract once already, five years ago. And now he's doing it again. I would've thought that of all free agents in the market this season, Ariza would've been the one the Rockets stayed away from.

Clutchfans right now

They need to calm down about pretty much everything. No, Morey shouldn't be fired, he tried to put stuff together and it just didn't work. No, you don't suck now, still have two of the best players at their positions in Harden and arguably the best C in the league in D12. And no, the Mavs aren't **** and headed to the lottery, this did nothing but help them really, though the price may not be the best.

Actually, I'm sure the Rockets would have matched Parsons if Bosh was already on the team.

Supposedly, the Rockets wouldn't match Parsons' big contract because it would've financially handcuffed them from building a contender. But if Bosh was already on the team, then Parson's big contract wouldn't matter. They would already be contenders. Furthermore, if Bosh had joined the Rockets the team would not have enough cap room to sign Ariza. They would have badly needed Parsons just so they'd have a small forward on the roster.

Les Alexander has never broken the bank to build a true contender. I don't think they expected Parsons to get a $15 MM per year offer.

You don't think Atlanta bites on Parsons/Asik for Milsap? They take that seven days a week and twice on Sunday

They could have probably have gotten Love+Martin for Parsons, Asik, Lin, and Jones

They've added two major pieces, but since 2012 Houston has lost a lot of talent

Out - Lowry, Dragic, Asik, Lin, Parsons

i don't think morey had a choice but to go with Ariza. Who else is out there? You had Parsons, Ariza, Deng and unrealistically Stephenson.

Yes, D12 can opt out in 2 years.

That means next summer Dwightmare Part III will be coming to a theater near you.
