Wiggins is in the deal. Cleveland has a week to try and get Klay out of Golden State so they can keep Wiggins. If they can't get something to interest Golden State to throw Klay in; the deal reverts back to a two team trade and the wolves will get Wiggins.

Where are you getting this from?

Nowhere. Just reading all of the tweets on the three team trade and trying to figure out how most people are saying the deal will be done by the end of the week. Golden State may be involved but if not Cleveland and Minnesota have come to terms on a trade between the two teams. This ties in with your very own Mike Cairns tweet about a three team being bogged down at the moment. Then the king of nba tweeting jspence26 sent out a tweet that the deal is done between Minnesota and Cleveland but the parts are moving with Golden State. So looking at all of that why would Cleveland get Golden State involved? Minnesota told Cleveland we will do the deal with you but it must include Wiggins. Cleveland says how about if we can keep Wiggins but get Klay in the trade. Cleveland knows Flip loves Klay. Flip says great we will do the three team with Klay in it instead of Wiggins if you can get the Warriors to agree. Cleveland has until Friday to accomplish this.

This all could be from it being late and me looking at this thing for way to many days and hours trying to read between the lines. It is fun to speculate though.

So, why wouldn't GS simply offer Klay and get Love themselves?

From the looks of it take over 4 Mil a year to play in Denver or about 2.5 to play in Cleveland.

Edit: Nevermind, Allen is considering retiring at the moment, Miller said he's going to let his wife/family decide. Could lose out on both.

Hopefully they get both, I also sort of hoped to get Birdman also but he stayed.

If not Kevin Love this year what about a S&T for Monroe?

Post#1531 » by OhioGuy216 » Mon Jul 14, 2014 12:22 pm

Thoughts?

I'd be glad to give up Thompson and Waiters for him? Or Bennet and Waiters....or a pick and Bennet...whatever. With our trade exemption I believe we can get this done.

Big man that doesn't require the ball and can defend the rim? Yes Please.

He's not a good rim protector, but he's a solid PF....def an upgrade over Thompson and Bennett. A package of Bennett, TT, and Waiters could get you Greg Monroe, but it's not good enough to get an elite PF like Kevin Love or LMA.

That's way too much for Monroe.

Agree 100%. I'd be willing to part with any of the three TT, AB, or DW and a first round pick. I believe that's more than fair.

Why are we acting like Kevin Love has a 4 year extension already signed?

There's this thing called extend & trade and I'm pretty sure that would happen if a trade was to happen.

Unless you mean in our favor, then yeah, the fact that he's expiring should give us a lot of leverage in negotiations.

When I say package, I mean a combo...you wouldn't give up all three. TT and Bennett are redundant. I know they aren't the exact same type of PF, but they are both PF....you would give up one.

Kevin Love said he would sign long term in Cleveland if James were there, that's already been in the press in several formats. And I never said anything about Love going to Cleveland. I said what Cleveland is currently offering for Love, could actually get Monroe....not Love or LMA, who are elite PF's. Monroe is good, but clearly a level below Love and LMA, and higher than TT or Bennett.
