Hmm, my only memory of Anthony Tolliver was him getting murdered by Amare back in 2010 or something.

I wouldn't say he was murdered by Amare. That year against us AT had a 19/11 game, and then the next game he had a 25/12 game with 5 assists, 3 steals, and 2 blocks. :o

Amare did have a nice dunk though, too bad he didn't play any defense, having a DLeaguer have those stats against him.

No, but we don't have much for depth at the 4. Can't hurt. Not saying he starts.

Even as a back up, cause Marcus should be the backup PF the way the roster is aligned right now.

And I'm not sure Tolliver will be down to come here to be a 3rd stringer unless the market really is that low for him.

Well Marcus normally backs up the 3. If you feel a rookie will be ready to get significant minutes backing up Tucker, you might be right. I wouldn't just automatically bank on it though.

I think Warren should be capable of playing 20 mins or so as the backup to Tucker. He is a lottery pick and we can use his scoring and shot creating ability from that position.

Lottery rookies are usually good enough to be backups barring injury (Len).

I like Ryan kelly for cheap, I know he's an RFA though.

I think we have to sign players with some potential, at minimun. Anthony Tolliver has his best years behind him.
I prefer Aminu (to play PF or SF) or Ed Davis, of course, but even Elias Harris could be a better option than veterans like Jamison, Brand or Charlie V for example.

Bledsoe/Thomas/Ennis
Dragic/Green/Goodwin
Tucker/Warren
Young/Harris (I'll bet he gets picked up after watching him in the SL)

For some reason im getting this sinking feeling that our PF search is taking this long because we are waiting on the Bulls to amnesty Boozer.

I think we'll be seeing Green possibly back up Tucker, and Goodwin will get more chances playing the 2

I have a feeling we are waiting for summer league to be over so the Wolves can evaluate some of our young talent. ;)

And I think we are waiting because there are no great options. So we will grab players as prices drop.

There's one problem, Markieff is better than Thad, younger and cheaper.

I'm looking now for the comments Suns staff made about Young back when these rumors were going around (they may have been posted here or on Bright Side):

http://www.libertyballers.com/2014/1/5/ ... de-request

http://fightinforphilly.com/2014/01/05/ ... had-young/

http://www.fantasybasketballmoneyleague ... eus-young/

Anyways, there was some interest in him last season.

I think we could get Thad without giving up the Morri. A pick and or small parts get it done, the Sixers have a lot of young dudes they need to give court time to, getting rid of his contract and opeaning up minutes for them is benificial to them. I dont know if Morris is better than Thad... they are very diffrent players. I would like a one two punch of both at Pf, with Thad being more of the streach 4 and Morris being more of a post threat.

Looked up the numbers for both Thad / Kieff and you are correct. Per 36 it looks like this:

Last Season:

Markieff 18/8
Thad 18/6

Then you factor in age and pay. Kieff wins. I don't see any available FAs on the list (viewtopic.php?f=6&t=1335143) that are capable of significantly outperforming Kieff either. Might as well sign a back up 4 and call it a day unless Love can be attained somehow.

Still.... Thad will be on the last year of his deal... We have the cash to spend this year and nowhere better to go... and together they would give us a very dynamic duo at the Pf. spot and solidify us as one of the deepest teams in the league!! Got the money.... use it, and they both expire after the year.... choose who if either to keep.

Tolliver is a bench player and knows his role. Good in all aspects of what we need. Solid citizen. A two yr tiny deal would be ideal at this point.

Thad Young would be fun to have, but man, we need some size unless we are ballstowalling it with a catch me if you can offense
