Pelicans get Omri Casspi in Asik trade!!!!

New Orleans still isn't going to be a playoff team this year unless Anthony Davis has an MVP-level season. I think this is the last year for the Pelicans Front Office and coach Monty Williams before they put there guys in there.

Casspi really isn't that great to be honest. He's a below average backup SF/PF. His shot is surprisingly mediocre, and he doesn't do anything else at a high level either. He's not a bad guy to have on the roster, but I wouldn't be thrilled to give him consistent minutes if you're a contending team.

Is he really that bad? Every time I saw him get playing time this past season, I kept asking myself why he didn't get more playing time. Seems like a very capable slasher and spot up shooter. Just couldn't get any scratch under McHale.
