IF Houston gets a TPE for Parsons going to Dallas.....who would Houston want more with that TPE? Jennings or Smith?

If they get a $15 mil TPE for Parsons then I'd have to believe they are going to try hard to use it for Love or Rondo

Love
JJ Barea

for

TPE
Jones
Motiejunas
Pelicans reverse protected pick

I think that beats any non Wiggins Cleveland offer (but I'm pretty low on Bennett & Waiters and think saving $15 mil is pretty appealing).

If we can get everyone to buy in, that's a decent team right there.

I'm unsure who the 4 starters will be around Drummond. But consider, we've added a lot of shooters to the team - guys who are true floor spreaders. Plus, Singler and KCP will each be internally improved 3 pt shooters in their own right - based on expected natural projections for young players. Also, JJ, when he gets in there is developing into a good shooter, and Dinwiddie comes with that reputation.

Suddenly, we've got a lot of spread the floor guys to play around our big-three. This might unlock all three of Smith, Monroe and Drummond. And all the guys we've picked up except for Gray are strong free throw shooters, and that was a major weakness for the Pistons, and has been for the last few seasons.

Finally, the guys we picked up are solid veterans, and they'll likely be guys who can improve our efficiency on offense and defense, simply because they know how to play. That's huge for developing the core young guys on our team, and for as quick as possible an adaption to a new team and new coach and system.

We're a mess to try to figure out - but this team's balance is 200% better than last year's version.

Maybe things changed but I thought you couldn't combine other assets with a TPE. If so, there's no way they'll get neither Love nor Rondo with that TPE.

But is it a requirement that their PGs actually make their shots? :D

Much rather have him over Bynum but don't see him taking Jennings spot.
