Re: Carlos Boozer Thread
If adding Jefferson made us a top 6 defense, imagine what adding Boozer will do!

we don't want Boozer. we NEED him
don't really care about the defensive implications, he can't be that much of a downgrade from what we had last year. as long as MKG stays healthy our defense will be good enough

Completely disagree. If we were to get him he would have to come off of the bench. The mere thought of him and Jefferson playing together extensively on the defensive end is just insane.

edited my post addressing the defense before I saw your response. I really don't think Boozer is that big of a downgrade from what we had.

Boozer could probably teach Zeller and Vonleh some stuff

Probably an even an upgrade on the offensive end compared to McRoberts, but man is that defense bad.

Maybe pair him up with Biz off the bench, that way we always have a low post threat in game and keep some sort of low post D.

Let him accidentally do that to Hairston and this will be Boozer after the game

Right now nobody we have at that position is a good defender. Not sure who starts but. I would not doubt it would be Boozer.

Re: Carlos Boozer Thread
Can we stop spelling Hayward, Haywood. Gets me confused with Brendan Haywood.
Back OT, yes, i would be ok with signing him for about $3-$4 mill 2 years. We need another inside scorer with that 2nd unit. Can we sign n trade with the Bulls. Zeller + pick for Jimmy.

We draft Noah Vonleh instead of Doug McDermott, causing our starting PF Josh McRoberts to flee, necessitating that we overpay Marvin Williams and bid for the amnesthetized Carlos Boozer, who the Bulls got rid of partly so that they could pay their shiny new stud 3 pt shooter Doug McDermott?
And . . . we still don't have a reliable 3 pt shooter or starting PF?
Good times.

You can get a lot of traction making fun of Cho around here, but I think the consensus is still that passing on Vonleh would have been a mistake. Maybe I'm wrong about that though.

But that's not Boozer - right? Boozer isn't really an offensive post threat.
He's more a mid range jump shooting, defenceless playing, gum smacking, jaw yapping, smug looking prick big man.

With a hilariously bad hair transplant. Can't forget that.

HORRIBLE...if we go this route we are throwing darts with a blindfold. Can you really picture Boozer and Al together at the same time? It might resemble the kind of speed and athleticism I see at the Y during the mid-lifer's games.
I continue to wait...and hope...for the return to Hornet's glory.

You really think McRoberts fled because of Vonleh? Like he was upset or something?
You're seriously underestimating McBob. He was a pro.
Miami apparently offered a little more and I'm sure he thought he was going to play in the NBA finals alongside Lebron. He was probably already given the job of elbowing Kawhi Leonard in the throat.
