Gerald Henderson has no reason to be unhappy he is FAR from a star and should fall in line and play whatever role he is asked to play to the best of his ability.

Exactly.

If the Pacers lose Lance, then what? Who are they going to go with at SG?

I love Lance and the Pacers will miss him if he leaves, but if the Pacers are so crazy for not paying him more then why has no other team exceeded their offer yet. Heck, it has yet to be reported the Hornets will even extend an offer that is much higher then the Pacers are willing to spend so lets wait and see.

The Pacers are in good hands as long as this guy bulks up for another off season.

Could have said they same thing about Al Jefferson last year. Guys fly under the radar for lots of reasons. People are obviously scared of this guys personality even though I'm not. Doesn't make them right though. I'm all for bucking the trend and trusting your gut if its backed up with solid reasoning and logic and if it fails it fails. Far better than "groupthink" or giving in to "the tyranny of experts" which is guarenteed to get you know where without blind luck (since you are literally doing what everyone else is doing where does your edge come from?).

hornets would have to move a shooting guard in a follow-up trade. signing lance would give them - lance, henderson, neal, hairston and jeff taylor. that is overkill. ideally the hornets and pacers would do a sign and trade where henderson went back to indiana. he is actually a good fit for that team. he plays very good defense and is by all accounts a great locker room guy, which the pacers could use. henderson has 2 years left on his deal at 6 mil per, 2nd year is a player option. he and miles could split the sg minutes, with miles playing when 3pt shooting is needed and henderson playing when defense is needed.

Rooting for this to happen mainly because it'd result in like an 85% chance of the future WT headline "Report: Jordan and Stephenson Come to Blows During Pick Up Game"

Indy would need an incentive to take on such a contract.

He can be a good fit for the Hornets or a real cancer for the team.

Uh, no.

Charlotte will probably sign and trade them Gerald Henderson and a 2nd round pick

Well, at least we would get info about all the antics first hand. Not sure I'll enjoy that kind of spotlight.

Henderson has terrible value around the league. For instance we offered the Magic Henderson and the 24th pick in the draft for Afflalo, and they chose Fournier over him. Hendersons contract isn't exactly terrible either. We've been trying to unload him for over a year now.

It's not like Orlando is full of good decision makers. They signed Ben Gordon of all the last year Bobcats.

Yeah there really isn't any in between. I've posted this before, but Charlotte has to get it right the next couple years. Lance could have a devastating effect in the locker room. However, how much good will can another couple 1st round exits really get for the Hornets in the city of Charlotte? I mean it's the east, if Lance works out it certainly isn't out of the realm of possibility that they could make the ECF. If they do, I'm pretty sure basketball will be back in Charlotte.

TL;DR: I'd take the risk. The potential payoff is huge.

Interesting, though Orlando has made some funny moves anyways.

You can be unhappy without being a star, I don't get what you mean here? He could be unhappy that his role would decrease, doesn't mean he would sulk or cause trouble, but even non star players want to get minutes.
