Ex-Miami LBJ Fans, Sign Up Here
We are bandwagoners and we are proud of it. Who doesn't like a champion, the greatest player in the world known as LeBron James?
Mod, can we make this thread a sticky?

Man, for the life of me, I can't figure out the whole "player fan" thing. To each his own I guess.

Well for me, I grew up watching LeBron in high school, then to the Cavs, and so on. It's the case with a lot of younger NBA fans as well. He's the guy they always see, and ESPN only makes it worse.

I used to be a Lebron fan in his pre-Heat days, but became an OKC fan because of Russ and KD. I'm still an OKC fan, but will be rooting for you guys in the east. I'll gladly hop on the bandwagon for a season (unless they play OKC of course!).

That's no excuse. I grew up 15 min south of LeBron, watched him play for St. V at U of Akron's James A. Rhodes arena, followed him every step of the way in the NBA, read his book, collected all the newspapers of him, magazines etc. I was a HUGE fan of his but hated him after the crap he pulled on my and his hometown team. I have forgiven him now, but still....

Same here, I guess I could if he was within my immediate family, but other than that I have no ongoing relationship with anything more than I have with the team, that always stays the same even though the players come & go.

It is a tricky question, I have liked him since high school so of course I have to like his team as well.

In a world where people still kill for old man Jordan shoes you don't get the "player fan" thing? What?

Guys,
Kinda important advice here. Clevelanders don't really like bandwagon fans. My advice would be start slowly and prove your integrity before getting into any arguments with us. We're a small and loyal band of losers

I feel like it might be different for a Cavs fan. I was just starting to get into basketball, and the Wolves had no connection to that.

I'll never understand and didnt even really knew it existed until we got Lebron. I know people loved MJ, but I just dont recall it being like this. (Internet and social media changed a lot so).

No professional team in CT and I'm basically a first generation NBA fan family wise so I've grown up a players fan (for the record I legit follow all 30 teams, granted to various degrees). I started following Lebron in HS and rooted for Cle when he was drafted, followed to Mia, now back here....don't hate me too much

Preemptively joining the Bucks and Twolves bandwagons.
