Lakers win Boozer amnesty auction
Yes or no do the Lakers want Boozer. Let the drama begin all over again. Boozer seems to be linked to the Lakers for almost 10 years now it seems.

Re: Boozer
Rather give as many minutes as possible to Randle and Kelly for development purposes. What we need is defense, shot blocking and someone that can finish well on pick and rolls. Boozer is none of those things.
Also I wouldn't want Randle picking up any of his defensive tendencies.

Re: Boozer
I'd prefer Blatche cause he can play center. We need a center and sf

Re: Boozer
Kelly and Sacre are the tallest players on the team and they are no where starter types. Blatch, not sure we can afford him.

Re: Boozer
No... and I don't think Boozer would want to come to L.A. anyways.

Re: Boozer
The first thing a coach would do is start him over Randle, and no thanks to that. Why you may ask? Because whoever is the coach is going to be under pressure to win as many games as possible due to there not being a lottery pick this season for us, so they aren't going to develop our rookies as much.

Re: Boozer
Agreed with the general consensus around here...no to Boozer
We need to start Randle as soon as possible,he ain't no project who we should bring along slowly....we need another C and a SF,even if we play Kobe there ,PF rotation is fine with Randle/Kelly and maybe Hill on occasions

Re: Boozer
I don't want him to stun Randles growth. Other than that I wouldn't mind him

Uhmm...if he's here,he's stunting Randle's development no matter what,by the mere fact he'll be eating on his mins..and I doubt Randle has anything to learn from Boozer, perhaps his bad habits on defense but we don't want that
Boozer can go some place else,it's not do or die if we get him,not much impact on the end result

Re: Boozer
Boozer sure stunted the growth of Milsap and Taj, oh wait.
He can teach him a lot, not defense, but still a fn lot all while playing and putting up at least 10 and 8 in 20 mins a night. He's a perfect backup and mentor to Randle. Hill, Kelly, and Sacre can run a 3 way at C.

Re: Boozer
Who wants to pay a PF that averaged 16 points & 9 rebounds on 55% shooting a year ago $2 to $3 million... I would take Boozer in a heartbeat... Boozer, Randle & Hill could gobble up the 4/5 minutes... Players step up in contract years & Boozer is a great locker room guy (mentor to Taj) & good teammate us it's a one year deal... Not sure if you have watched any of the Summer League Games but Randle is averaging less than 3 boards a game in 24 minutes...

20 mins my ass...that's the **** point,Boozer will see more mins than Randle for sure
More like in reverse,Boozer starts and sees 28 mins and Randle the rest
And no for Kelly at C,for **** sake let's leave this D'Antoni ball behind...actually even D'Antoni didn't use Kelly at C if I remember correctly

As a backup big I'd take him for sure. Would probably complain and demand a trade if he had to backup Randle, though.

Excuse me,I missed the part in which everyone gives a **** about Summer League stats....Let's ignore an entire college season's worth of statistics (which historically translates best to the NBA) for a 2 game sample size in the **** Summer League, where he didn't even practice with the team beforhand
Anthony Randolph should be a multiple MVP judging by his SL performance and MCW should be a huge bust....

Re: Boozer
Depends on the price... If he falls out of waivers and wants to sign here, sure why not? But I do not want to be in a bidding war for him... And I think someone might over-bid for him off waivers. We'll see.

Re: Boozer
when bidding on an amnesty player, are we only able to bid up to our remaining cap space? (whatever that is at this point)
