Bulls Amnesty that Rat Bag Boozer, Cleveland Next Stop?

Post#1 » by Pryftan » Tue Jul 15, 2014 10:18 pm

How nice would it be if Boozer returned to Cleveland after his ignominious exit so many years ago?

so he can take Bennett's minutes?

I'm cool, unless canton charge wants to bolster it's roster.

Reality is some team is going to bid for him off waivers. Houston for example? Anyway, it would be nice if he returned to Cavs but not sure its in the cards.

Not much interest. He's a bad fit. I'd rather give his minutes to Tristan and Bennett. In the scenario of a Love trade he gets even less appealing. Houston is a likely destination for him.

Nah. Haven't you seen the new look Anthony Bennett in the Summer League? Sonny is a changed man. He is much better than Boozer.

"I'm cool" means no, I don't want this guy, him on the Cavs takes minutes from AB, who I've seen in summer league & yes, very excited, can't wait to see him during the season.

Can't sign him anyway. No cap space.

Correct me if I'm wrong but don't amnestied players only qualify for the vet min?

All teams with cap space (or an exception) can bid for their services and they go to the highest bidder. If nobody bids, then they are just free agents and anyone (except the team who amnestied them) can sign them for whatever. If nobody bids, they'll likely get the vet minimum because anybody who wanted them for more than that probably would have put in a bid.

So it's technically possible the Cavs could get him on a vet minimum but he'd have to clear the bid process first.

Ah, thanks for the info. I swear understanding the NBA cap requires a master's degree sometimes :-)

I'd rather pass of Boozer, I think we're going to run a heavy motion offense and he runs like he has concrete blocks attacked to his ass.
