I don't think Bird, Rio, Wade, Haslem salaries have been released yet. But if they are all in the neighborhood of what they are expected to make (lengthen Wade's contract out to 4 years at ~14M, UD's to 3 years at 2.4, 4M for Rio, ~5M for Bird) they aren't even close to 10M.

Bosh 20.8M (CAP HOLD-which is less than the actual deal)
Wade 14M (His cap hold is FAR >>>, so he has to sign first)
Deng 10M
McBob 5.4M
Bird 5M (915k cap hold, will be last to sign. Puny cap hold made his resigning a necessity as it was the only way to get any extra cap space)
Rio 4M
UD 2.4M
Granger 2M
Cole 2M
Napier 1M
Justin Hamilton .8M

So they are already at the cap. Not a lot of cap gymnastics possible as the cap holds are all pretty much in line with what they are going to get.

Miami literally cannot get him. Period. If they have to fit him in under the cap its a horrible deal that just gets matched. It'd have to be a SnT. And I don't know who they trade. They don't have anyone they CAN trade.

this is how they'll do it......

Spoiler:
let's go heat
let's go Heat
let's go HEAT

Bledsoe is not coming to South Beach. With the Wade and UD deals, our cap is officially filled up.

the suns were 28-15 with Bledsoe in the lineup. The injury thing is a legit concern, but saying he won't help the team win doesn't seem like an accurate statement.
What available PG would be better than Bledsoe anyways? ramon sessions? don't think so.

It doesn't really matter at this point since this roster as currently assembled will have a hard time getting back to the ECF, let alone the NBA Finals. With Lebron gone we needed to spread the scoring load and have greater depth ... and we have neither. In fact our bench is paper thin unless Granger rises like Lazarus. And I don't see how we have the assets to pull off a trade to significantly improve.

Seeing how the roster turned out ... yeah, we may as well have made a max offer for Bledsoe.

I don't do the rose colored thing. And I barely touched on the negativity. Trust me, there's bucket loads more where that came from.

PG - Chalmers, Cole, Napier
SG - Wade
SF - Deng, Granger, Ennis
PF - McRoberts, Haslem
c - Bosh, Andersen, Hamilton

Bledsoe would have been a great fit, especially on the defensive end to mask Wade's deficiencies, but this is still a good roster. Let's see how we fill out the roster at the SG position and power rotation.

If Wade is healthy, there is not a team in the East that we cannot beat in a 7 game series.

I wonder if Ray Allen isn't a trade chip to fill out the roster?

How would an unrestricted free agent in Ray Allen be a trade chip? There's nothing logical in that idea.

It would be a mayor accomplishment if we could get him.

Guys, we are over the cap and he's a restricted free agent. Zero chance of this happening right now. If Miami really likes him they might target him in trades sometime down the line but you should pretty much forget about it happening anytime soon, if ever.

Yea, hopefully youguys can pick up boozer. Although he has limitations, the guy is still a rotation quality big and can carry some of the scoring load when bosh is sitting.
Not sure how your cap situation is like, but picking up bledsoe would be a godsend. Dude can score and is a load on both ends of thefloor. I do not think mc is a starting quality PG unless he is playing off superstars like how dfish did with the lakers.

bledsoe
wade
deng
boozer
bosh

mro
granger
mc
birdman

decent looking team..no real weaknesses other than maybe lack of true center and backup wing is a question mark depending on granger
