Make it six. ESPN sources say Dwyane Wade has also secured a no-trade clause in his new deal with Miami

Dont really see the point of the no-trade clause lol... not like well be trading him anytime soon, or anytime at all for that matter lol

A more manageable cast, What does he mean?

More consistency? Or having players who don't mind Spo's decisions?

Are we still doing that this year to that extent?

It'd surprise me to be honest. It was my understanding that the maintenance plan was mainly a result of the OssaTron treatment he received in the offseason. I also don't think it really paid off the way it did since it's hard to get into basketball shape and find a good rhythm if you constantly sit out games.

Yeah that was my problem too. If you spend the season taking more than a third of the games off, how are you going to be ready when you have to play every game?

Obviously we shouldn't play him 40 mins a night and give him some back to backs off but I don't think we will do what we did last year because we are no longer guaranteed a Finals spot just by showing up.

And even if we were, I just don't think it worked out the way we all thought it would. He essentially looked worse than he ever did in the Finals and it was either physical or a basketball conditioning issue. Either way, we didn't get the result we were looking for. If my memory serves me correctly, even in those games he looked good physically in the regular season, he at times looked out of sync.
And as you said, we're gonna need more from him as it is anyways.

Hopefully it works as well when they're not on the same team

LeBron won't be able to bully Kyrie like he did Rio because Kyrie seems like a more sensitive fellow. Well no one can take it like Rio can! lol I bet he will miss his best punching bag, but I'm sure he'll have plenty of young players to yell at next year.

Some people are drooling over LeBron & Kyrie duo, but they are both ball dominant, Kyrie is an all star PG for crying out loud. I don't think it's going to be any easier than working LeBron and Wade duo which took about one full season to define roles yet continued to struggle with the balance at times the entire time.

I saw an interesting stat, Kyrie in the NBA has been one of those rare players who shoots the 3 much better off the dribble than he does in spot-up situations. He was at 30.1% in spot-ups or something like that. Doesn't mean he can't learn or won't be good next season, but it goes to show sometimes simple boxscore checking doesn't really give you an indication how a player will adapt to a new role.

I wouldd say let Tyler Johnson be our SG but that's a lot of rookies lol

Still think Granger should play the 2 or even Ennis, just don't let him dribble...

Probably more players who simply accept the coach's ideas.
