Our draft pick was just laughable, we still have Monroe for some reason when we could currently have 2 quality players in exchange for him oh and to top it all off, the east is getting bigger and badder again. So I say we finish near the bottom of the conference this season unless immediate moves are made. I'm a pistons fan as much as anyone else here, but I'm also a realist, and in my honest opinion I think we went from potentially gaining a playoff spot last season to being even worse now. SVG has GOT to make some moves before the season begins.
We signed good shooter
s in Meeks, Carter, Augustin, and Butler. That was one of our glaring weaknesses.
You mentioned the east is getting bigger and badder...yeah maybe. That's all the more reason to keep Monroe and develop a future twin towers with shooters to compliment them.
We also have a serviceable big in Aaron Gray, not a spectacular big ticket put butts in the seats player, but a player who will be able to give us plus minutes while Drummond rests.
We have a recovering 6'6" pg who plays the 1, 2, and 3. He has been a pg at every stage of his basketball life. He's a guy who has that elusive feel for the game. He plays solid defense and takes pride in rising to the occasion. Those who wanted MCW, will love Spencer. The dude is a playmaker.
We are in the midst of a scenario where a team is being built with pieces that fit, run by a coach who knows what he's doing. It's been a long time since we were able to say that.
