no, he couldn't. NO CHANCE IN HELL as Vince McMahon would say. im not here to toot my own horn and im not some mma fighter but im 29, 6 feet tall and lean, been in plenty of scraps, not intimidated by anyone, wrestled in high school. wrestled and boxed with guys much bigger and more athletic than me in college for fun. im not superman but Im more than capable of holding my own and Simmons would be NO match.

holy sh*t

This thread is gold. I particularly like the link to a facebook page where the guy is unironically saying stuff like he attended "School of Hard Knocks" and that "all he does is win."

I love Simmons. He represents the ultimate fan's dream. And he's an entertaining writer/personality.

isn't that pretty much the dream of every poster here on realgm? and for reaching that goal Bill Simmons, I salute you.

Seriously. He hates the team i support, but he has a dream job. Other than the bias, he's pretty cool.

However, I also find him to be as informed as Palin, which is to say, less so than a Kindergartner would be. The only column Simmons writes that I regularly read is his football picks mailbag column, which he doesn't even write every week.

Someone doesn't like having his team's 40 year record of failure pointed out, evidently.

I'll never get the "biased" criticism, either. It's not like he hides it or pretends he's not biased. You know that going in, so I fail to see how it's a problem.

I like him, but try being a Pistons fan and reading his stuff.

Bill, if you are reading this, I'm sorry Bill Laimbeer ran over your dog, Isiah Thomas slept with your mom and Rick Mahorn pooped in your fridge, but the Joe Dumars "two phones" picture isn't funny anymore.
