Wizards Player Equivalency Fantasy Depth Chart

Post#1 » by WallWithTheDime » Thu Jul 17, 2014 6:24 am

The idea is simple, pick ANY NBA player from NBA's Past present or future and use that players name to correspond with current players on the roster. I'm looking at this idea as something as a representation or a reminder of the player or of what this team can be. So think of similar NBA player's, play style aggression, even statistics and make a comparison to
what our team can resemble from the past. I will make my list and Of course this thread is about making your own opinions I want to see others people Player Equivalency Fantasy Depth Chart and even Teams from the past are welcome , like if you see the Wizards next year as a team from the past be sure to bring that up to. So say the current players name on the wizards roster and then the past players name and team next to it, *year would be nice too of the past player* So just play it as you see it.
Time for my example!
Jason Williams 2003-2004 MEM (POINT GUARD)
Reggie Miller 1992-1993 IND (SHOOTING GUARD)
Bruce Bowen/or RIP Hamilton (Small Forward)
Bill Laimbeer (power forward) (with his height and weight in todays terms I figure he could play PF) 1991-1992 DET (IF Kris Humpries plays heavy minutes NENE prob starts)
Pero Antic (2013-14 ATL (Center)

Tell me what you think of my List and My idea and be sure to share YOUR list as well, Thanks!

Took me a while to figure out what you meant, but I get it after reading.

Just looking at our core players, I think the best case scenario for Wall/Beal/Otto in their primes = Gary Payton/Mitch Richmond/Tayshaun Prince

Combine that with a good frontcourt and solid bench, and you'd have a very balanced squad. Of course, Tayshaun Prince in that scenario may potentially be swapped out for a lanky, 6'11 all-time great scoring machine..
