Predict Derrick Rose's stats for the 2014-2015 season

Post#1 » by Chicago-Bull-E » Thu Jul 17, 2014 12:44 pm

Wanted to see the opinions on what Rose's numbers will looks like for next season now that the makeup of the team is pretty much settled. My thought is these could be all over the place.

18 ppg
6 apg
2 rpg
41% shooting
35% 3 point shooting

65 games played
34 mpg

My thought is his numbers will be awful (like they were last year) for the first couple of months of the season. Something like 16 ppg, 4 apg on 37% shooting. He'll start to pick it up by the end of the year, averaging something like 20 ppg, 7apg on 44% shooting.

I don't think Derrick is averaging fewer than 20 points.

Despite all the shooters he has around him - I don't think he averages more than 8 assists.

So my guess is right at 20 & 8 with increased efficiencies (I'm hoping to see him push that 3pt% into the .370-.390 range).

23 PPG
5.5 APG
3 RPG

I am hoping that he finds a bit of balance in his game between driving and shooting. Seems like he fell in love with the long ball and completely abandoned his mid-range game which was pretty solid.

Either 23 and 7asts or 19pts 11asts. With all the shooters around him, he should get more assists

Kyle Lowry in Toronto:

17.9 & 7.4 on 42.3 FG% & 38% from deep. I am hopeful of something like that, with a lesser % from deep.

Honestly, if he can have that level of impact on his 1st season back, i will be damn pleased. Lowry should have been an all star last season, so if Derrick can replicate that, i will be pleased and thankful for his return.

I'm really interested to see what Roses shot looks like. He's had a tremendous amount of time to refine and work on his range. Hoping he becomes even more of a threat by adding a legitimate three point shot into his arsenal.

I don't think there's a chance in hell he breaks 20 after two years of rust. He'll start out slow, find his rhythm by January and end up with a 16-17 point average. I only hope it's an efficient 16-17.

Next year won't necessarily be a sign of what's to come, however. I just don't see him being this big time scorer after so much time off.

I'm gonna say 20 and 7. If he has a slow start to get back into it, maybe those numbers are held down a bit.

Optimistic? Maybe, but I don't think it's that far fetched. The problem is his health, and that's an all or nothing thing for me. Should he play out the season largely healthy, then I think he'll play very well.

He'll have a slow start and finish stronger in the second half. I don't see any major improvements in his game this year and I don't think he'll need to be MVP Derrick Rose for the Bulls to get to the ECF. He just needs to be healthy and rested and a threat for defenses to have to game plan against as a constant major factor. If he is, then everyone around him will benefit and the team will be wildly successful.

I think if all goes as expected, he can lead the league in DNPs.

Return to Chicago Bulls
