Wow, I think that makes them the favorites in the east now. Before, with limited spot up shooters, I had them pegged 4th or 5th (but then they signed Miller and James Jones which would have helped a little bit).

And the west remains strong into the foreseeable future. While our dreams of getting that draft pick fade ever further.
I think the Cavs will regret this in time.
I doubt the Cavs will if they win a championship. I don't think they will in their first year, but they could probably get to the finals at least once in the next two years. If they get to the finals this year I think they lose, but if they got there again the following year, after the young guys had experience playing in the big games, they could win it.
Long term, 8 years down the road they COULD regret it IF Wiggins is a stud, but that is a big if. You don't want LeBron leaving in two years because you wouldn't put the right team around him.

Would you rather keep LeBron happy or develop Wiggins?
Hmm....I think all 30 GMs will say keep LeBron happy.
I'm glad about this anyway, the West is finally losing some talent.

I see the point you and bwgood are making, and I certainly understand the logic. But I don't think this particular statement is true.
Good for the Wolves. LaVine/Wiggins is a great place to start building from. For their sake, I hope they jettison that succubus Rubio.

I told y'all the April exit interview with Bledsoe was
R.I.P now it's coming true

A's over Royals. Lester and experience will prove that he's worth the trade.
Tigers winning it all. Tigers are, imo, peaking at the right time.

Re: The One And Only Offseason Thread 3
Eric Bledsoe has:
- Two significant injuries
- Never had an 800-pt season
- Never started half of an NBA season
I would like to see a list of players who fit that description who have received $10M/yr or more. I would imagine it is very short.
If he were to sign for $11M/yr, he would instantly become one of the top 0.01% richest people in history. He's 24 years old playing in a warm climate city on one of the most exciting young teams in the league for a great young coach. I don't mean to imply he doesn't have every legal right to want more. But there won't be a lot of sympathy from the fans (and possibly teammates) if it continues much longer.

I don't know, they have a ton of young guys with nothing to lose and a whole bunch to prove. The way I look at it, the Wolves got rid of an injury prone player, for a possible young superstar. Unless they just give up, which seems incredibly stupid at this point, they could still manage a 13th seed either this year or next.

I'm sorry but I'm not as patient as you guys. Whole wait for a superstar or star to come around while collecting assets and your team develops, gets older is like watching paint dry, not fun regardless of love for the game, and this whole system makes me sick.

New coach, Rubio, LaVine, Wiggins could be a great team to watch.

Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming Wow! What a Ride!-H.S.T.

Lol what do people expect? There is not a superstar to be had via free agency and now with Love most likely going to Cleveland, there is not a superstar to be had via trade

Re: The One And Only Offseason Thread 3
Personally, I think we can beat plenty of superstar-laden teams. We may not match up very well against the Grizzlies, say, but if I'm the Clippers, Warriors, Thunder, Rockets, Blazers, or Spurs, I'm not terribly excited about meeting the Suns in the playoffs.
Bottom line is, we are dangerous.

Suns need to be the third team! snag those assets baby!
Yeah, that'd be great. They need a team to help make the money work out, right? Who would we want as an asset?

Bledsoe is trying to get the most money he can get, but has no leverage. The Suns know this so they're probably low-balling him or offering him something slightly below market value. One side has to cave eventually, since as it stands, no other team except Philadelphia can give Bledsoe the money he wants.

**** off with sarcasm. For them to actually to DO IT.
Now, don't get me wrong last yr was great and fun. I love this team's potential, seeing them develop but thought of waiting em out to be a contender...and will anyone of em actually want to come here? But that's what you want as a fan, a championship. To be good enough to watch your team win one. And this is how the league is to compete for one.
