You gotta think that the primary reason Paul couldn't find a taker for Bled at the max is that teams think to themselves, "Well, Phoenix will probably match, but if Phoenix doesn't match, it's because his knee is shot, right?" Lose/lose.

Boozer was kind of a pointless move by the Lakers. Takes minutes from Randle Davis and hill. It's not a trade asset because you can't trade amnesty guys for a yr and that's all the longer it's for.

Boozer is washed up and terrible so it might be a sneaky stealth tank move on there part to keep their pick.

Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming Wow! What a Ride!-H.S.T.

Exactly. It looks like a stealth tank job to me. To the casual fans, it looks good, as they added in a semi-big name in Boozer, but where is the defense in their starting 5?

Lin?
Kobe
Swaggy P?
Boozer?
Hill?

Its a bit comical as they will be relying on Kobe for all of their defense and at least 50% of their offense.

This is interesting. Is Lebron really tweeting and calling that segment on Bledsoe offensive? "defamation?" really? I thought the two in the video did a great job. Very true about what they are saying about Bledsoe's agent.

Maybe if Lebron wants his BFF to get paid, he should talk to the Cavs about a Sign and Trade? Problem is even Lebron's new team isn't interested. Lebron has done Bledsoe no favors this offseason. Maybe Lebron is willing to write a check for the amount we are off?

Yeah, if Suns wanted to play real hardball or be dicks they can even say to the agent they are worried his injury would turn into another Brandon Roy situation. Obviously teams might see through this but it would also be a cause for concern (not that any teams can offer him nearly what he's looking for anyway....just that it could hurt his future value, especially if he had another meniscus injury with the Suns).

80 million is so ridiculous...how can you expect anyone to take you seriously if you're convinced that you are that kinda money. He's going for the John Wall extension http://www.sbnation.com/nba/2013/7/31/4 ... on-wizards

That's not gonna happen.

He put up 13/8 last season. He isn't washed up or terrible, he just wasn't producing relative to his contract.

Wasn't LeBron mentioned in the Tweet? He didn't tweet it.

What would you guys prefer?

Matching a 4/$63 offer or S&T of Bledsoe with that contract to the Bucks for Ilyasova and John Henson?

The Suns were masterful in getting Isaiah Thomas. Say what you will but it impacts these negotiations.

I posted here under the influence once and was rightfully suspended. I dunno why the title hasn't gone away, but I kind of like it.

Ha ha. You got hit with a PUI? And now the title still stands? Love it! I'm just glad nobody was hurt. I hope you learned your lesson. :P

I don't think we're interested in those players, sorry.

Between those two offers, Keeping Bledsoe, as we can later trade him for players we really want.

Now trading him to you guys for Sanders & Henson with a right to trade picks might sway my mind.

Max Bledsoe, and it's not even close.

Neither but if we have to we'll match. I thought you were all lined up to make that offer. I guess you were focused on more important pursuits like Bayless. If you want us to take those two scrubs, we'll do so provided Giannis or Parker come with them. If not, don't come here looking for a S&T!

letsgosuns wrote:If Bledsoe is really demanding 5 years, 80 million, then I think he does not want to be here. That is ridiculous. He has done nothing to deserve that contract. Sounds to me like he just wants off the team and wants the Suns to trade him. If that is the case, fine with me. He can leave and go be happy somewhere else. The Suns should work out a sign and trade for him with someone. I would rather have a player that wants to be on the Suns instead of a player that does not want to be here. The Suns have so many young players so I think they will be fine.

He must really hate the Suns, that's why he wants to sign a 5-year contract with them.

I'm looking forward to seeing this board's reaction when Dragic inevitably asks for 5/90 next summer.

Gorilla Warfare wrote:How do we NOT put in a bid higher than the Lakers for Boozer? $3.25 mil.?! Even if you hate the guy that is an absolute steal for him. I would have offered him $6 mil.

Why would we bid for him at all?

For years everyone on this board wanted the Suns to rebuild. Now when we are rebuilding you want the Suns to sign a washed up Boozer to take away minutes from our young guys? The Suns are not in a "8th seed or die trying" mode, we are building long term.
