DO NOT MAX BLEDSOE!!! 4 years 48 mill is a good offer especially since Bledsoe has done nothing.

It's just a true statement
Players you want to MAX need to be reliable, leader, superstar potential, healthy, able to make teammates better, and a history of success
Bledsoe has a couple of things I mentioned above but not much. If everything was based off potential Beasley would be maxed out.
This is a business and should be run that way. If I show up to half my days at work and have some good days but never finish a full year then I don't think it's right to ask for a raise

I'm not suggesting to give him max either. Just found it funny.

I would be willing to offer Bledsoe 4 years 60 mill if.........
We tell him 10 mill a year is guaranteed but the other 5 comes if you play over 65 games

I think Bledsoe is traded within a week. And hope so.
Love the Bledsoe for Nash and Randall proposal. I would even give them their pick back. It's top-five protected anyway. Any doubts they to get to use it next year? Lock up Randall now. If there are no questions about his health, you won't be able to do much better in next years draft.
Or sign the QO and ship him to Cleveland for Bennett or Thompson straight up. Let LeBron take care of his little buddy.
And then there's always Detroit and Smith or Monroe... Maybe a three-way with sac town
No doubt McD is working the phones. There is a deal out there and he will find it.

Good Post. I agree with everything but give him to Cavs! I don't want to help out Lebron!
I am hoping to get Thompson, Bennett, or Randle and some fillers in future trades
Either 3 way CAVS Minny
Or
Lakers trade

Why would we do that? No one is offering or willing to play Bledsoe the max, thus there is no need to sign and trade him, unless you believe he is going to get the amount of money he doesn't deserve; we aren't going to give it to him.
Bledsoe can ask for the moon, but he isn't going to get it, he can earn his max for his next contract.

Re: The One And Only Offseason Thread 3
How about this:
S&T Bledsoe to DET
S&T Monroe to ATL
Horford to PHX
or
Millsap + Carroll to PHX
Who says no?
I really think only the Bucks and Pistons have movable parts that could involve Bledsoe.
This is unless PHI think an MCW/Bledsoe back-court could work...then they either max him outright or we do a S&T and get Thad Young for him?
This is of course a insane idea, but does IND think for a second about re-signed Bledsoe, Green, Mook, MIN 1st and LAL 1st?

honestly think somebody dropped the ball on both Boozer and Davis.
The Lakers are doing the same thing the Suns are doing but with a twist.
Their stacking up on PFs while we stack up on PGs.
Both teams will be perfect trade partners come February.
No....Suns PGs are young and talented guys, all proven except the rookie. Lakers PF are old and or marginal players, except the rookie!!

ATL probably need a sweetener to trade away Horford...maybe KCP from DET?

5/80 is ridiculous. He has an injury history and has yet to even start a full season. He was good last year, but not great. I think the idea of paying a player the max based on "potential" is crazy.

I hope this happens instead of the Cleveland deal, because it will keep the Wolves competitive this year, but will keep them from becoming competitive in the future. And if Wiggins's ascension occurs as LeBron declines, maybe the Cavs aren't ever quite as dangerous as LeBron/Love.

He's only 24 yrs old and avged 17/5. Dragic is 28,not old at all, but had his first great season with 20/6. When Dragic was 24, he didn't even come close to Bledsoe's numbers. I know Goran is a fan favorite and all but is it that crazy to believe when it is all said and done, that Bledsoe could have a better career? Not to mention he's a MUCH better defender.
It's crazy to think that people think 17/5 at age 24 for half a season is all that great. Those are maybe slightly above avg pg numbers. I bet at least half the league's starting pg's averaged that by the time they were 24. I don't think people are underestimating him. Most everyone think it's fair to give him 4/48, but giving him any more isn't terribly reasonable for making 17/5. He is a good defender but also has trouble staying on the court.
I wouldn't have given Dragic nearly 4/48 at the age of 24. That's what I'd want to give him now. If he has another great season showing he can sustain that or get better and stay healthy I wouldn't be opposed to giving him more.

Why? Who would you want from those teams other than Klay or Love, and what would you give up for them that they'd take?

Have to disagree - the only way to do that trade is if the pick us UNPROTECTED totally
As the trade is Randall for Bledsoe and absorbing 10m of nothing. The Lakers for Bledsoe should unprotect that pick. Or at least its not in play. And personally, Nash and Randle for Bledsoe is for the Lakers favor. There would need to be another piece coming too Phoenix if that pick is still protected top 5

Its interesting that he has not had a max offer from anyone else. The Suns are offering him above market in a very inflated market. C'mon Eric sign it and blame the delay on the agent. Let's move on.

Bledsoe is in a tough spot. Unless his agent can work with teams to get him an offer - he will have a choice
1) sign the QO for 3.7m
or
2) come back to the negotiating table, drop the years from 5 to 4 and start around 4 years 56m
grantd, if Rich Paul can find a trade offer, I am sure the Lakers would think about Nash, Randle and unprotecting that pick for Bledsoe.

WTF?
This reminds me of when I go to bible study and a guy there is like, "well Jesus was really a person but I don't think he's that person is divine." I'm always like, wtf? That's a valid opinion and I respect it, but wtf are you doing here at bible study??
Basically, what I mean is, WTF?
Well it would depend what part of the bible you are studying. The Jewish faith follows the Old Testament.
Other than that, I also find that comment you quoted, ridiculously pessimistic.

Bledsoe shot himself in the foot early. He had a team curious about a near max deal ready for him to sign and he demanded max. That team then went on without him. And his market collapsed.
I would honestly tell him: 4/32 or take the QO. If you get an offer higher than that we'll match but let the market determine your worth. Front load the contract to make our cap situation better down the line.
But that's why I'm not the owner.
Dare him to take the QO. Then when he signs for less just trade him for something valuable if IT works out.
