Just Fabianski to replace now and a month and a half to turn this window from good to great. 1 more top signing and the squad signings to shore up the team(young back up CB etc)

Never really understood the Manquillo move. Unless he's a real stud or something (don't know too much about him). Surely Jenks is more game ready now, and we've got several prospects there. Getting Jenkinson a loan for consistent playing time would be nice though.

Sounds like it'll be Ospina in to replace Fabianksi

Speaking of Arsenal not being a big club...

http://www.forbes.com/pictures/mli45ejlgl/16-arsenal/

16th most valuable sports franchise in the world. 5th most valuable soccer team, behind Real Madrid, Barca, Man United, and Bayern Munich. #Gunners #WeAreNotABigClub

Chelsea 48th, Man City 49th, AC Milan 50th.

yeah it really didn't make much sense. If we're going to bring in a backup defender i'd rather it a CB. I don't know too much about him too but from what I've read he's a good prospect and is good defensively but isn't the greatest going forward but is a good athlete with potential there.

ospina will be a solid buy at that price and he's still young too , 25? 26?

Well, it seems that you are confusing "big football club" and "valuable soccer team" there ... "Big football clubs" are the ones that have won many trophies, both domestic and international ... "Valuable soccer team" is something completely different, and it is dependent on assets and money, not on results on the pitch ...

Let's just focus on arsenal here

Really hope giroud isn't starting any important games this year man. We can't go 3 seasons in a row with giroud as first choice. That's utter incompetence. He will cost us

I have a feeling unless Wenger brings in a world class striker, Giroud is starting with Sanchez out there.

Its going to suck seeing him miss easy goals...He could have had alot more goals last year. Dude loves to miss open targets

yeah man it's going to be super depressing when all the good chances fall to him... ugh. Hopefully campbell becomes something if we are going to go into a season relying on giroud again in big games.

Girouds hold up play and passing will look pretty good with Walcott/Alexis on the flanks, IMO. He's best when people like them or Rambo are running in behind.

I guess , we didn't have those runners for most of last year. Should give us more options

Tmmrws pre season game will be streamed on arsenal player btw , 245 PM UK time vs borehamwood fc iirc. Arsenal player is free just have to register for an account(arsenal website) and you get it.

Im with ironchef. I think girouf gets more flak then he should. Is he the best finisher? No..fastest? No.. but his other attributes really help the team score some really good team goals.
People were complaining about ozil not having any runners..he needed them aa well. His lack of pace can be hidden wgen you have the likes of walcott in the team who was willing to run behind.
Hopefully him playing a lesser role will get fans to appreciate him more.
It's no coincidence that 4 or so of the best goals ww scored was woth him
His volley against west ham
Wilshire team goal
Rosicky team goal
Ramsey volley

I dont think those type of goals would have happened with a remy or balotelli

he's a 12M striker nothing more , nothing less. I agree he does things that helps the team but the flak he gets is warranted. He's a good squad player and nothing else but we rely on him too much and he will always let us down 9 times out of 10 when the going gets tough. There is no way olivier giroud should be arsenals starting #9 three years running. I can't go another season watching him not make any runs , miscontrol every other ball that comes to him when under pressure against a good team , mess up so many chances , and just generally mope all over the field with that stupid little grin. I'm sick of it.

if we do go into the season with him starting we're going to have to pray alexis , theo , and ramsey are healthy through out and with our luck that is a long shot.

^^
with or without Giroud starting we better hope alexis, theo and ramsey are healthy anyways.

He is a good striker nothing more thing less. yes a good squad player for a team like ours.
Tell me who do you think will make our team better?
Balotelli? no
Remy? no?
they are about the same level..no more no less.

people want a player that runs behind. but dont forget the likes of balo and remy wont help with our link up play.

Do not get me wrong. I want a better striker as well. I just do not know who that will be that is available.

Sanchez seems like he will play up front a few games.

Well, you could have got Mario Mandzukic or Ciro Immobile, but that ship has sailed ... I suppose that the likes of Jackson Martínez and Alvaro Negredo are still available, but I can't see Wenger investing into another expensive attacking player, after he has tied-up almost £65 million in the Alexis Sanchez transfer ...

lol like like last yea we shoulda gotten lamela, muriel, etc.

Mandzukic i liked, but his game is not that much different to giroud.
Immobile may be good. but getting a guy who scored a lot of goals in a lower team in a worse league.
and martinez and negredo (the guy who specialised scring the 5th and 6th goal in a blow out)..
typical fans, just name any name and think its better.

I still think we shoulda have gone after lambert and remy, but that ship has sailed.

and seriously. what is your problem with how much money arsenal make.? are you jealous?
