Neither Lindan, Lowry, or Sanchez would have been able to start on any Yankee team since 1996. End of discussion. There are hundreds of players in baseball better than those scrubs.

Sure, if the Giants like Jeff Karstens and Kevin Thompson, then give me Lowry. But I'm not trading one of the most dynamic players in baseball (Abreu) and a guy who is still a #2/3 pitcher and probably a HOF for them.

meaning you still would want him , why is that NYKGM

We all know that these scrubs will never wear pinstripes, but I find this argument so amusing and never seems to get old. I think in 2009 and 2010 we will still be following these guys!

The point is that Lowry, at full potential, has a CHANCE to be a decent 4th starter. In the AL East, I'd bet against it. NYKnStill, we went from trading Abreu and change for Lowry, Sanchez, Linden (Atrocious) to Abreu AND Moose for the same scrubs. I think my head is going to explode!!!! We are the New York Yankees! Not the Kansas City Royals or the Rockies, or whoever else. Yes Moose is past his prime, but like 34celt said, the dude is smart as hell and has the ability to reinvent himself to stay competitive. If he wants to he could pitch into his forties. When he does decide to retire, and the fact that you dont realize is that we will just sign another solid proven starter. We have plenty of young arms, we dont need another, who isnt that good anyway. Now that we are in a winning streak and back into playoff contention, we will never dump moose and the hot bat of Abreu. These guys will never crack any of our future lineups...
