Exactly. Not sure that means he stays. Might just be a set up for a trade.

Maybe he plays better this year...who knows. If not, he's trade bait.

He probably won't see the court much.

I was reading the Cavs board and they seem to be somewhat interested in Seraphin since they have very little big man depth. Maybe we can finagle a second rounder for him.

If they just him to focus on defending and rebounding, he might be a useful player, since we really don't have any interior shotblocking.

Seraphin CANNOT be trade without his consent b/c he's on a QO.

I'd dump him for a second rounder. I still don't know why they gave him a QO.

I can't see him not agreeing to a trade...he won't be seeing much, if any, court time here. Guy's gotta get PT to justify his next salary.

Well that shouldn't be tough. You think he wants to stick around here buried behind.

Nene, Gortat, Humphries, Blair and Gooden ?

He gets paid either way. I'm sure he would sign on to the trade to a roster with more openings if they find a place for him.

They signed him to contract him as an asset. He does show some promise. I could easily see him becoming more effective on another team. Sometimes players just need a fresh start and the maturity experience and wake up call that comes along with getting moved.

Well if Cleveland is interested, they are in the running for Love again.

Maybe we can help the deal take place.

I would be interested in Dwight Powell or Matthew Dellavedova

Maybe we can end up getting a piece from MIN.

Maybe combine Seraphin with Miller for Steve Nash? The AARP gang would get a boost from that one.

Wall and Gortat will probably be together for a long time. Having a year of Nash could maybe help them fine tune the P&R. Nash and Gortat meshed well in 2011-12.

Looks like they are around 75.5M(lux tax is around 77M) once they cut Melvin Ely, he has a 100% non-guaranteed contract for this season. That gets them to 14 players and they said they wanted to save the 15th spot for flexibility during the season, so this looks like the final roster.

I count $73,784,774 after subtracting Ely.
