No Thanks, Baron

Post#1 » by RiversideClips » Thu Jul 17, 2014 10:42 pm

baron Davis quit on us, got fat, took our money and occasionally shows up to sit in the court side seats; no way do I want that work ethic back on the Clippers bench.
Baron Davis should give every Season Ticket Holder money b/c he was one of the reasons season ticket prices escalated quickly for the past 5 years.
Good Luck w/ the Dubs Bdiddy, just another reason to HATE GState.

I agree with that Neddy, if he can earn a spot why not. He is not playing for Vinny, he is playing for Doc. A healthy and in shape Baron as your 3rd point guard might not be a bad thing.

He also had Sterling harassing him
Notes: Rookie Rudy Gay twisted his left ankle trying to guard McGrady late in the third quarter and limped to the bench. He returned with 5:51 left, then returned to the bench about a minute later - http://www.nba.com/games/20061231/MEMHOU/recap.html

I heard he wanted to make a comeback. I don't think he said anything specific about playing for the CLippers though

Gotcha. I like baron. He is still my all time favorite lob thrower. Blakes rookie year some of those alley oops were just ridiculous

He didn't mention it but the article that made mention of him trying a comeback mentioned the Clippers as one of the teams he'd want to play for.

I'm with Riverside, he's a lazy ass bum that took a max contract from us and proceeded to not giving a f*ck about playing basketball or staying in shape. Don't let his last year with Blake or his being harassed by DTS color your opinion of him, he was the main reason our team sucked for half a decade. F him.

although i have no defense for Baron in terms of quitting on the team, like 12 games into the first season of his contract, he and Mike D was burned by (F)Elton Brand. it is not 100% fair to blame Baron for everything that had gone on for our franchise to fall back into abyss. maybe 99%?

if ELton was still around with Baron taking over as his pick and roll mate, even as broken down as Elton was, he would still have been a very capable of pick and pop mate with his mid range J.
ehhhhh f it.

Oh yeah, Brand was a two faced prick leaving us (and Baron) hanging at the last minute, and that was definitely the biggest reason Davis lacked motivation. But once that happened you can do two things, be a man and play your heart out for a team that's paying you way more than they ever paid anyone (like Paul Pierce did for the Celtics those years, and they had an even worse team than us), or you can pout like a child, not care about basketball, get fat and just worry about your filming career since you're living in LA. Baron chose the latter one and he earned my perennial hate for it. F him.

I'd much rather have Brand than Baron. Brand is still a plus defender. Baron is just a fat guy at the YMCA.
