Hawk fans complain about Ferry like we have had some type of real GM in the last decade. Ferry is doing great in my book. Instead of being upset with the GM be upset with the players that don't want to come here, when the Hawks have put a fair offer on the table. How about we boo gasol and deng when they come to Phillips. something along those lines.
Bebe is not good. lets get that out of the way. Lou Will is pretty much on the decline and was even benched during the season. We we gambled and lost. Scared money don't make money.

Could have been smarter about the gamble though. Salmons agreed to wait until 7/10 for the non-guarantee date, he could have done the same for TOR and we could have done the deal after the moratorium when we knew whether we'd need the $$ or not. Fact is that we not only took a bad gamble that showed very little creativity in trying to fulfill our best interests, but then really wet the bed with our lackluster showing in FA. Deng might have turned us down, but other teams had a firm grip on their Plan A and B while we were failing to adjust to someone not taking our lowball offer. Simply put: our FOs was woefully underprepared for this off-season and it showed.

Having said that, I can't disagree in seeing Deng as Public Enemy #1. I can understand Pau's position more (apparently we didn't show more than a passing interest until it became clear Deng wasn't going to accept our offer and Pau had already moved on), but f__k Deng forever.

That's what I said, for the first time, I will appreciate differently every win we can get against teams like MIA and maybe CHI because I can't understand how Pau didn't estimate that ATL, with him added, wouldn't be a Eastern contender instantly.

Instead, he prefers to go to CHI, a team that play their main players so much that half get big injuries. Pau likes to play with Spain each summer, I don't wish him to get the same thing, but almost each summer, Noah is not available to play with the french team because he's playing the last months of the season with a injury.

He would have been perfect here at 8M, even 10M, instead, he signs for 8M with CHI.
Let's just show these F.A. that they were wrong.

I totally understand Pau's hesitation in coming here.

we couldn't offer a winning team, let alone a contender. we couldn't guarantee a starting spot.

We couldn't reasonably guarantee a healthy All-Star Center, while CHI offers a DPOY to help cover Gasol's deficiencies.

If CHI can win 48 games without Rose and Deng, imagine how good they can be with Rose, Pau, Mirotic and Dougie added.

They are loaded now.
