Ok I'll take Wall, Lillard, and maybe Westbrook over Bledsoe. But we all know that, if healthy, Bledsoe's defensive abilities combined with his offensive traits are as rare as they come.
Bled despite his injury and potential risk is still worth considerable money- perhaps not more than what the suns offered but its enough. Just because he's off base and asking for the max doesn't mean he's **** trash.
Not that he will, but if he does sign for the QO, and plays a full season - he's GONE with nothing in return.
Don't get me wrong, I'll take Wiggins for Bled straight up. But that's not gonna happen.
I'd definitely take Curry, Paul, Parker (especially at his price) and probably MCW on a rookie contract...he's shown much more as a rookie than Bledsoe could have dreamed of. Rose if he was healthy, but probably not at this point. I'd definitely take Teague or Conley at half the price, and probably Lawson. These guys have proved themselves over years starting and are not injury prone. But if he is paid as much as he wants, or even close, Dragic rightfully so will demand at least as much, and he is also better.
It just goes to show how wide our appreciation of other players are as fans. Why take Lawson when you got IT already? Both are undersized pgs who love to take it to the hole.
MCW doesn't impress me on the Sixers -- anyone can hang numbers on their squad. Curry is just as much of an injury risk as Bled and Paul is past his prime.
Bledsoe is just so dynamic, young and poised to play better save for concerns of his knee.
So far Lebron has dominated talks of our offseason and even now waiting to hear that Bled is re-signed there is still the lingering of Lebron's presence due to his Agent trying to jack up the price to continue to make a name for himself.
TJ Warren has been the only bright spot. I'm excited to see him play off the bench next year and perhaps compete with Tucker who'll need to make sure his corner 3 is falling.
